By the gods, the extent to which you are delusional is just fascinating.Sonic Doctor said:Come back and play again, because you struck out with your first few swings of claims.
So far I have been the ace pitcher and nobody can hit a single pitch.
Listen, here's the thing about Obama's health care bill and our current system. As it is now, before the bill goes into effect, many people are uninsured. You believe that it's wrong for the government to take your money so that people who don't deserve it can have health care, because it's forced charity, no free rides, etc.
What you and a lot of other people don't realize is that you already pay money to cover other people's health care. You pay a good deal of money so that people without health insurance can recieve treatment. If someone without health insurance becomes very ill and goes to the emergency room, the hospital is required to treat them. Treatment costs money. And as you've already pointed out, money doesn't just appear out of nowhere. Who pays for all this expensive treatment? The tax payers. You.
Obama's plan requires everyone who can afford health insurance to purchase it. This way, when they get sick and have to get treatment, guess who pays for it? The insurance company. And yes, you have to either get health insurance or pay a fine. You know why? Because if you don't have it, everyone else has to pay a lot more money to cover you.
I have a close family member who worked at a hospital for many years, and he explained to me that people who don't have health insurance cost a lot more than those who do. People who have health insurance can go to the doctor when they first experience symptoms and get much cheaper treatment before the problem escalates into a much more expensive one.
To sum up: You are already forced pay for people's health care. Obama's plan will cause you to pay a lot less. Enjoy it.
I think I'll skip the horribly egotistical baseball metaphor.
