Poll: GoW - What series do you think of first?

I'm not a fan of Gears of War.

I use gears for gow, it doesnt work for god of war for obvious reasons. And well if you are talking about who was there first doesn't god of war get it. At the moment i just think god of war because of the publicity about the new one but if you had asked me at the time of gears 2 release i would have said gears.

Is it wrong if I think its Ghost Recon? I can't explain it myself but I always seem to think GRAW when I see the abbreviation GOW, then usually Gears of War, then finally God of War.

it's surprising how two series started off in two years time, both being system sellers and with the exact same abbreviation. You know what I'm talking about: God of War and Gears of War.

It's like when you meet someone who has the same name as someone else you know, but is younger, so you give him/her a nickname or put a number after you say their name. God of War came first, so hence is GoW. Gears of War is younger, so has a nickname. Like poopypants.
