Poll: gun rights but how much is too much?

I was vaugly watching the news tonight and noticed a story about a bunch of gun wackos bitching about the governor of tx taking away guns or something, I wasnt paying enough attention, but my question is this, what should the limit of legal firearms be?

License to own, requiring a standard 2 week long training course. Felonies automatically get that right revokd. Pistol permits require more intensive training course. Other than that few restrictions, most of them being on explosives and FAs.

In Australia the only people who have guns are police, farmers and enthusiests, its not the right to have them that worries me, its how easy it is to get them, in America you can walk into a pawn shop and walk out with a gun 5 minuts later. weren't school shootings blamed on how easy it is obtain a fire arm?

The problem arises when we need to define what constitutes hunting and sport related firearms. I can't tell you the number of times a politician has held up a R700 or 30-30 and called it a "Sniper Gun".

No limits on how much you can own or the type (as long as it's a reasonable gun, I'm not talking letting people own bombs, and no explosives or fully automatics.)

Gun control seems to have this attitude of "guilty until proven otherwise" and consequently only allow the most brutal of thugs (gangs and sometimes the cops depending on where you live, not saying "fuck the police", but let's be real, I mean look at the cops in Pittsburgh where three officers showed up in plainclothes, asked a random guy to do shit for them without identifying themselves, and then brutalized him for no reason other than he was "resisting arrest". Or the pig from Philadelphia who shot a guy execution style.) to have guns.

Background checks galore, required license, and a mandatory training course should be used. And anyone convicted of a crime involving violence should lose all gun rights.

The limit should be no more than the current limit in the US: no fully automatic weapons, no explosives, background check on new gun purchase except private transfer, and no carrying in public without a license.
