Guns, guns, and more guns. I'd build a house out of guns if I could find a way to hold them together.
According to Google Images, this [http://www.subbrit.org.uk/sb-sites/sites/p/princess_annes_battery/5.2gun.jpg] is a gun house. Doesn't look all that intimidating to me, but what do I know? *badum-tssh*

Edit: nvm

I don't mean in video games; hell, try playing through any of the earlier Resident Evil games with just the hunting knife. You can't even kill a single low-end zombie in fewer than five or six strikes, and when you get two or three descending on you, it's pretty much an exercise in failure right from the get-go. I mean in real life, which would you be more interested in collecting (or which do you already collect)? Personally, if I had the space and the money, I'd collect knives; guns are nice and all, and I know which I'd rather have if shit got real and I had to defend myself for realz, but knives have a sort of dignity that guns lack. (Of course, the other reason I don't collect knives or guns is because in my area I'd have to go to knife-and-gun shows populated by the kind of people who would unironically buy this shit right here. [http://www.trueswords.com/redneck-toothpick-p-915.html] I know you can buy on the Internet, but it's usually not a good idea to buy stuff like this sight-unseen.)

For the purpose of this thread, knives = swords. Also, I used the search bar and got nada, before anyone says it. :p
I would prefer knifes. Theres something about a gun that just, seems lame. Anybody can kill someone with a gun, you point, and pull the trigger. A knife however, can be just as deadly, and requires a LOT more skill to use.

I like knives. The big fuck off shiny ones. That look like they could skin a crocodile. But i think Soap (NOT the guy from cod4) From the movie lock stock and two smoking barrels put it best. "Guns for show, Knives for a pro."

I prefer swords, so thats big knives?

Still prefer knives as they can be far more decorative than a gun can (as the functionality of a gun hinders sections of its operation)

Plus I dont have a license
You sir have obviously never come across collectible guns, most are far more ornate then anything you will find in the collectible edged weapons section.

And that was just a few pictures I found with a quick google search, I happen to have some very nice showpiece guns myself.

I would like to collect guns, but I think the UK government would take issue with me collecting breech-loading direct fire weapons. So knives it is.

In other news? I'm goddamned pedantic.

I really like to collect rifles. Next one for me is the M1 Garand going along with my WWII service rifles collection.

Very sexeh, although I'm not sure I would have chosen to use a cheap pocket knife to prop up a display piece. But y'know, that's just me.

Yeah, I should have thought of this; I forgot that the UK is way stricter on gun ownership than the US. But does the government not make a distinction between show pieces and regular run-of-the-mill weaponry?

Actually, my post was focused more on the fact that a gun is, in military usage, used to refer to breech-loading direct fire weaponry like cannons. Honestly though, I believe you can collect certain types of firearms for historical purposes.

I collect replica swords and other medieval/fantasy weapons, my father collects historical guns and guns to target shoot with. I plan on taking up the banner until some politician decides to ban them.

I use and collect both. Berettas and Glock 17s at the firing range, and knives are more readily available.

In some weird psycho universe where it would be practical and not creepy or I didn't care what people thought of me, probably guns. And then I would go hunting with them.
Also because if I do collect guns, it would be for historical stuff, and I am more interested in the periods of history that involved guns than I am the periods that focused on knives.

i say knives because they can be in interesting shapes like this one i have from north africa in a shape of a bone. even have a entire set of bone silverware my mother has. i will also have more of a chance and good reason to use knives and they cant run out of ammo at the worst possible times.

I never got what the point is supposed to be. Doesn't the gunblade just fire blanks to make the blade vibrate or something?

That doesn't stop it from looking dead sexy though.
