but WoW (at least in my eyes) is kinda dull. It's' travel to point X kill this many (insert name of enemies here).
Is GW2 going to make every fight completely different in every single way?
If not then It's just as "grindy" as WoW.
Guild Wars exists to create a non-grind gameplay and by you asking "is GW2 going to make every fight different," you obviously didn't take 5 minutes out of your day to look up GW2.

It's World of Warcraft. Isn't that more or less synonymous with "Unbeatable" by now?

I played games like WOW and the only thing I don't like about it is how they shove "you must be in a group to do this part" thing. I don't play well in groups. I like the idea of seeing others playing the same game but I prefer to play alone. I heard that GW2 will have something close to a single player mode or something to that effect.

Simple answer

Wow is in a league of its own, and therefore is winning, all the time, as it has no competitors.

Looking at Guild Wars 2, however, I think it has the potential to be a great success in it's own right, and therefore can quite easily 'win' too.

Result, 2 wins, as they're not really in competition.

It involves killing things and you do it more than once, that seemed to be enough for you to flag WoW as a endless grindfest.

and yes I did (sadly) waste 5 valuable minutes on that Video, which seemed to consist of little more than a few GW2 people saying how it'll be oh-so awesome.

Some MMO will beat WoW when Blizzard decides to quit milking the game for all it's worth then most likely it will be another blizzad game

I think Cata re-energized the WoW player base and now WoW truly has something for everyone:

* If you like PvE RPG there are some really good quest lines.

* If you like cooperative play there are the Random Dungeons.

* If you like short PvP there are the Battlegrounds and Arena.

* If you like to spend hours and hours doing the same thing over and over with a group of other people there is Raiding.

* If you like to spend hours and hours doing the same thing over and over solo there is Grinding.

* If you like community you can join a guild, if you like playing solo you don't have to.

Crafting still kinda sucks in WoW, but they added professions.

And most people know at least one other person who plays.

I don't think GuildWars 2 will bypass it.

Why can't WOW, GW2, and TOR all live in harmony? Why must GW2 or TOR dethrone WOW? There's no need to, I can't wait to play TOR, and all I hope for is for TOR to be a good game.

I'm playing WOW right now and am having a good time, because I have a bunch of friends to play it with. WOW won't die so easily.
Because, some time WoW will fall leaving Rift TOR and GW2 in an era of time similar to the Warring States period in China that will ultimately result in one faction becoming dominant over the others and be recognized as the dominant faction or ruling faction.

In other words: Highlander rules,"THEY'RE CAN ONLY BO ONE!!!"

Read at Yahtzee Speed: In reality I do hope that the 3 can live in harmony, but Blizzard LITERALLY designed WoW to be the equivalent of gaming crack. Maybe if all 3 were free-to-play they could ive as one, but Blizzard is on the same level as Activision, i.e. a company, i.e. a soulless culmination of greedy demons from hell looking to profit.

I think no ONE game will beat WoW. It will come slowly over the next couple of years. But it won't die.

Did you even bother to actually check out and read some of the articles? it LITERALLY has visual aids from the guy that draws the PvP Online webcomic, I am not joking

I solo'd from 70 to 85, and I am working on a worgan that I've solo'd to 60. It is much easier now.

I say minecraft wins, both of the others offer less variety in play, but since I'm completely biased WoW if I have to pick

Wow.

Because nothing beats wow.
what about chuck norris
Have you ever seen them both in one place at the same time?
Yes, and he was roundhousing its face off, he was about to kill it but felt sorry for WoW and it's desire to suck souls into its gorge of greed but walked away saying that wasn't worth the effort to kill.
