Poll: Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Portal 2

Portal 2. I liked the length of Portal 1. I haven't finished Episode 2 yet, so no anticipation for the third installment.

I'm curious where they'll go with Portal 2. Is the silent protagonist or GlaDOS more important?

I thought it had the aperture (sp) logo on the side. Also I would like both.

But think about how weird having the dark humor of Portal and the seriousness of Half Life mix, also Portal was the most fun I have had with a game so I'm going to go with Portal 2

Considering Half Life is about a million times better than Portal I'll have to go with Half-Life.

I liked Portal more the Half life 2, but I keep thinking that any attempt to make a sequel would be doomed to failure because there's no way they are going to live up to the original, let alone top it.

Seconded. I mostly would want Episode 3 because I want to finish Half-Life, and that Episode 2 was such a damn cliffhanger.

Actually, according to Valve, Episode 3 is the end of the Half-Life 2 story. They hinted at a completely different Half-Life 3, although I have absolutely no idea of what they're going to do.

I really hope they don't make another Portal game - It'd kill the series. Where could you go from there - the great thing about Portal was the fact it had a unique idea, a fun and interesting place to explore this mechanic and it was short but throughly enjoyable.

To make a portal 2 not only would there be so much expectation, but I am sure the mechanic would become stale and uninteresting, theres only so much you can do with a Portal gun after all.

i don't understand this, it was enjoyable- i mean of course the sequel can't be as good but why would you not make another one? more puzzles means more fun- not to mention we can see if valve can make it interesting again (i bet they can)

Freaking Quake back on the PSX looked better than that. Maybe if I can find some decent retextures...

That's how HL1 looks on the lowest setting with a crappy resolution. The game can do alot better then that. Besides, there's a fan remake coming out, the trailer of which is linked here as well and HL2 looks good even by today's standards. Textures might be a little repetitive in underground areas but that's about it. It looks better then fallout 3, just to name something.
