If you ask me, Sony is just going to match that. One thing pretty sure Sony learn from the release of the PS3 is how bad things can turn out if they overprice it. But they're still a company, and a company is in the business to make money, and as much of it as possible. So, they're at least going to match that so no one can complain how overpriced the PS4 is comparatively, and, they can still try and ring out as much dough as they can.j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:We don't know the price of the PS4 yet. Everything seems to suggest that Sony is using more expensive parts for their console, and they're shipping with a camera too.Maxtro said:With the Xbone costing $499.99 it really does seem like Sony won.
Why not get Windows 7? You don't HAVE to get W8...identifier said:My choice is PS4 because of better specs, Watch Dogs and Thief. I was going to spend my money on new gaming PC but that is a no no because of Windows 8.
That's thing, if pricing goes the way it does I'm almost getting the feeling we're just going to have another Wii-360-PS3 scenario. Logically I can't see the PS4 getting below $400, but it is possible it'll hit the same level as the XBone, depending. Nintendo's Direct is the one I'm excited for due to the fact that they'll have a LOT of stuff gamers have been craving like finally getting an update on the new SSB, 3D Mario, and Mario Kart. This fall might very well go to Nintendo.TomPreston said:I have to say it's pretty disheartening to see so many people making this about a fight between Microsoft and Sony. When Microsoft showed off the Xbox One everyone just lumped with Sony, even though Sony has made some terrible decisions too. While all this debate between the two consoles rages about how people wish they'd get their act together, Nintendo is quietly sitting in the corner offering the most console gaming experience out of the 3, with backwards support, indi games, no DRM, free internet, TV functionality that doesn't obscure the gaming experience, less motion controls, cheapest price, and semi-unattached gaming experiences. Nintendo is basically offering everything gamers want out of a console but no one is looking at them.
This isn't to say that nintendo is the best choice or is perfect or anything of the sort... but out of the 3 gaming consoles out there I can't help but think that the Wii U should be getting more credit than it is.
I have to say that as much as I agree with that statement, having a price point of $499.99 kinda puts the 'average' gamer out of the market.Mr.K. said:Sadly no, people will just burn out on eggs box hatred and then still go buy it like spineless dummies... that is just level of the willpower your average gamer posses.
