Deprssion is one of the most self diagnost things in the world, and when you say your depressed you beleive it and then acually become depressed. So I really dough many of the people who said yes where ever clinicaly depressed.

People can feel depressed for short periods of time but that doesnt count. Myself, i've never been depressed but I have felt an overwelming sence of lonelyness and despare for a few days. This has happend a few times and nothin really caused it, no break ups, no heart shattering news, just random spontanius "depression".

Wow, reading this thread I now feel incredibly blessed. I know I've never been depressed, and I don't even get down or sad that much. I get stressed sometimes, but that's usually a result of having a big test or essay due and not being prepared. I'd be stupidly optimistic to believe I'll never be depressed, but so far life has been good to me.

I do not get depressed. Never have been depressed. I am also rarely sad. I would listen to music that makes you feel happy or to play some games with good friends who will make you feel good about life.

I have been and currently am. I'm dealing with it as best I can, though I suspect most of it this time around is school stress.

I've had my share of bad days, but I've never been clinically depressed.

Going out for a run is a great way to clear your mind.

Whatever you do, don't talk to girls that are currently mad at you. They will tell you off yourself. Had that experience last night...
However, I think its funny how I can just spend a majority of a day on COD 4 and it improves my mood, even if we get destroyed a third of the time.

I guess my advice is that you're not alone, because I found out that two of my friends are the exact same way that I am.

Er... I still haven't told more than a few girls though.

Edit: also I'd go for hour and a half or longer runs. Just grab an MP3 player and play an entire cd in one direction and listen to it again coming back.
My twin (who stole $850 from me) was lucky I did that as she showed up when I got home and I didn't do anything more than tell her to fuck off.

No way man, got hot girls on one side, good video games on the other; good friends at my back and a bright future ahead. Plus I have my bike to keep me from getting overweight :)

Besides all the sappy shit, I really am happy with my life and very un-depressed. Get out there and get a hobby. See a doctor perhaps. I dunno if you want advice, and I'm not qualified anyhow. Nonetheless, you can get get out of your depression if you try hard enough.

I've never been diagnosed with depression, but everyone's life has its down moments. The trick is to learning how to deal with them. I usually try to find something to distract me; Something like a project or hobby, hanging with friends, or - and i know this is a wild idea - playing a videogame. As I said, anything that can distract you from whatever is depressing you.

I'm almost always down, though not enough to be depressed. I can't admit it to my mum or some friends though, or they'll think I'm lying or complain about me going "emo kid" on them again. Another friend panics when I say that and another actually cares enough to listen to me talk.

But then again, I'm a seventeen-year-old. Apparently my problems mean NOTHING! ^_^ So.

Music and an outlet works for me, like most people have said already. Talking to friends helps too, sometimes, as long as they keep their yapper shut.
