When I was younger I had extremely long hair, so I was mistaken as a girl from the back lots of times. This happened especially at restaurants when the hostess didn't get a good look at me.

Surprisingly, it happened again two days ago even though I keep my hair short and don't look even remotely feminine.

i've been referred to as "that lady" by little kids twice, despite being 18 and male, also an old man once called me "dear" i should probably take this as a hint and het my hair cut... but i won't

I've got long bloond hair (as a male, frankly), so it happends quite often mostly with older people, who aren't used to long haired men. ^^ I never got flirted on by a male, though, it's not that bad.
Though, when I was in the US a few years ago, a (in the end really nice) old lady just wouldn't let me go into the men's room. It took me five minutes of explaining and an intervention from her nurse to get to pee.

Negative, I'm a barrel chested, beard having, asian that often rocks a mo-hawk.

When I was a freshman in highschool, I got asked out by a lady who was a sophmore in college, after I told her I was a freshman. didn't secifiy which. Though it was fun..

Though when I was in Mexico, was asked out by two different guys, one hispanic the other white, because I was wearing a wife beater and a straw cowboy hat (think Toby Keith)
and once here in the states. I a gay frien I had who was drunk texting me....

I've got really long hair, like down to the small of my back. I also have dark lips but it's only ever been from behind. I let my facial hair grow out to feel more secure about it, though.: |

Yes, I'm growing my hair out and I was on my way to school for exams when some ten-year-olds called out "hey, you girl over there". I turned to them and as they saw my 'stache and goatee they backed off.

Well, I do have pretty long hair. In a ponytail that looks anything but feminine. And a rather angular face. And 195cm length to my name. And a voice that gets me asked whether I'm on medication, or just stoned.

And did I mention the goatee?

No, I don't think anyone sober ever wondered whether I was female.

Uhm, nope. lol. I've been called a boy before, but that's just because I was a huge tomboy when I was little.

Yep. It's mostly because of my voice, I don't really 'carry it out' and just speak at the lowest, most monotone voice I have.

In the 7th grade, I answered a math problem, and the kid two seats in front of me, when asked the same question, said "Yeah, what he said back there." He was met with laughter and an angry stare from me.

That's about the only time, actually.

This used to be a very common thing for me when I was about 13-14. In fact, I discovered by accident that were I to put my longish hair up I could immediately pass for a girl.

It's because of years of consistently being mistaken for a woman that I now have been equated to Gimli on more than one occasion.
