Kinda. Was in bed with my girlfriend at her friends house, who lived with her gran. Said grandmother did not approve of us sleeping in the same bed, but when she looked in the room, I was asleep with my back to her, and because of my long hair she thought I was a girl.

Nope. Combination of genetically broad shoulders, a strong chin, and short hair means I've never been mistaken for a woman. Wouldn't suppose I'd be offended if I was, though.

Yeah once at Gamestop... I was standing there texting in the corner and one of the guys there came over and said, "Do you need any help ma'am?" He must've been surprised when I turned around... it was only because I was wearing my hair down that day...<.<

Only all the time.... I apparently look very effeminate and my long hair doesn't help. It used to annoy me, but I've grown used to it...

Yep. I was, you know, with my boyfriend. And they were homophobic & thought we were a gay couple...

God damn it, my body. You suck.

All in all, it was pretty hurtful. Not one of my better days.

I very rarely have anyone correctly guess my gender.
Not sure why though. I'm not built like the opposite gender nor do I really look it at all aside from my hair and complexion.
Yet still, everyone confuses mum and I for either mother and daughter or a lesbian couple ¬_¬
Must be the eyes... or the hips... or the curly hair... or the smooth skin.... goddamn it, I do look like a girl >.>

I have longer hair and am wearing a uniform at work. I'm working with my back turned from the cash register/main counter. I'm just doing my thing, cleaning or some shit, and I hear "Excuse me?" I don't immediately acknowledge the guy because there are more people working and I was really into cleaning whatever I was cleaning. I hear a throat clear and a "Excuse me miss?" Well, that can't be for me, I have a penis; better clean this some more! Finally, "Miss!? Excuse me miss!? MISS!?" Oh, right, long hair and girly-looking ass. So I turn around, and in my deepest voice I reply "Yes sir?"

Never have I seen a darker shade of red on a human face.

When ever I go anywhere, someone will inevitably call my ma'am or miss. Mostly women. They see short person with long hair and think female.

I can not count the number of times I've heard "Oh, you have such lovely hair!" when I tell them I'm a guy.

I've been mistaken for a girl a few time, back when I was 13-14 ish and had hair down to my waist...

But after I turned around and people saw my beard and whatnot they realised their mistake.
If you had a beard at the age of 13, then I salute you.

Seriously?

NOBODY has picked up on the semantic fallacy here yet?

No. I have never been mistaken for the opposite gender. The opposite sex, yes, once over the phone. But never the opposite gender. I don't even know how that would work.

Online? Yes, but mostly because people don't check profiles.
Yeah, that's way more common than you'd think. If it's any consolation I at least TRY to remember to check someone's profile before referring to them as a him/her/it.

Never in person (built like a tank). However through the mail and online (when real names are used) I often get mistaken for a girl because my first name is a girls name. Not bi-gender, it's a girls name. I even get mail from my old schools (looking for donations) addressed "Ms." which is doubly insulting.

I guess i've been mistaken for a girl. Mainly when i was really young, about 3 and that was me being mistaken for my sister. Other than that i've happily mistaken people as other genders.

I've been mistaken for a girl once or twice from behind. Not even a bushy beard and broad shoulders could save me with hair down to my waist. Not that I mind.

Having a beard by 14 years old really helps with that kind of thing.

And before that? Nope.

Never, I look very masculine and have quite short hair. However, I do get mistaken for other people. I have been mistaken for a woman's son (She kissed me think I was him), two people's boyfriend (I got hug from behind one of those times), someone's friend countless times and Robert Patterson :/. I wish I was joking about that last one
