I have had children stab me, kick me, bite me, make...ghastly smells through ghastlier bodily functions near me, keep me up at night with their loud noises, break or misplace items belonging to me, deliberately disobey basic commands under circumstance to the point where I'm literally in tears, expose their genitals to me (not in a pedophilic way! You kow what I mean), have me disusted by certain actions to the point where I don't even want to touch my food and land me in hot water.
But you know what, I love kids, there's just no denying that incredible innocence and imagination about them and finding a sad child is as easy as finding the holy grail. Not to mention that taking that sense of innocence and doing...interesting things to it has made for some engaging works of fiction (A series of unfortunate events, Limbo). So no, I have never wanted to beat a child and I'd be very scared if such a brutal thought even crossed my mind, if I need to keep a kid disciplined well...let's just say I have the ability to use tones and words which could inspire sumissiveness and, to an extent, fear in the heart of a jaded, rebellious war veteran and so far it's proved effective on them.
