I have had children stab me, kick me, bite me, make...ghastly smells through ghastlier bodily functions near me, keep me up at night with their loud noises, break or misplace items belonging to me, deliberately disobey basic commands under circumstance to the point where I'm literally in tears, expose their genitals to me (not in a pedophilic way! You kow what I mean), have me disusted by certain actions to the point where I don't even want to touch my food and land me in hot water.

But you know what, I love kids, there's just no denying that incredible innocence and imagination about them and finding a sad child is as easy as finding the holy grail. Not to mention that taking that sense of innocence and doing...interesting things to it has made for some engaging works of fiction (A series of unfortunate events, Limbo). So no, I have never wanted to beat a child and I'd be very scared if such a brutal thought even crossed my mind, if I need to keep a kid disciplined well...let's just say I have the ability to use tones and words which could inspire sumissiveness and, to an extent, fear in the heart of a jaded, rebellious war veteran and so far it's proved effective on them.

Some children/teens need to have the fear of going to far returned to them, so they start to think about the consequence of their actions. Or in other words laws need to take some things into account and make it legal to slap them in certain situations or reduce the punishment according to the situation (there are cases were teens have intentionally provoked a physical response so they can sue for damages).

I worked at an afterschool program for children aged 5-12 for two years. Some of those kids drove me insane. Hell yes I've wanted to beat a child... [small] to death... [/small][sub] with it's own fibula. [/sub]

Nope. Wrestling yes though. Show them who to listen to, good life lesson that.

Sure I have, and I even have one. Thing is, non parents don't "get" it like parents do. My daughter is the best thing to ever happen to me, but it's still a shit ton of work, and very, very hard.

Everyone's nerves are rattled from time to time.

I'd never do it though. My heart still works.

The ***** that lives above me seems to come home with a different number of children every day; every one of them as annoying as the last. She lets them run absolute fucking riot in the street outside. Screaming, shouting, crying & throwing stuff all over the place. Occasionally she leans out the window and lets loose a torrent of abuse that would make a hooker blush.

I guess in this case it's her bitchship that I take issue with but, still, every day I'm hoping for a paedo in a van to swing round my street and scoop them up. Little shits.

children can be amazing, but they can also be the most illogical devil bastards on the planet

so i have thought about it a few times but for the most part, i know how to get back at them or beat them at their own games so in the end i get to grin and rub it in there face that i won =]

Well... seeing as how our punishment system for children is seriously ineffective now and they just go around being little assholes, yes they need to be put back into their place, like the good old days, where they didn't act like little shits all damn day thinking they were unstoppable. In short though no I have never done it thought about it on several occasions though.

Ok then, it seems that most people here will never be parents but I would like to be a parent, myself. Like i don't know what all the hate is, EVERYONE here was once a child, how would you feel if you were 5 and just casually playing on the sidewalk when a person walks over to you then punches you right in face because he doesn't like how you look. I know that some times they may annoy you but You can't just beat the crap out of kids just for fun or because you don't like them. They will eventually grow up to be a mature adult like you and me so just lay off the hate A-holes!
ok man first in formost if my kid ever spat at someone, attacked them, or just plan insaulted an adult(unless the guy is an ass) i would will and always spank the liveing crap out of them.
next i think everyone understands this eventualy you always like YOUR kids and hate others just the facts of life.Oh and before i get massive hate mail for say id "GASP" spank my children i was spanked as a child and i never talked back to anyone till high school(and that was due to the fact that i only had one teacher smarter then me) because i was scard that my dad would spank me he only did it once but if you do it right just the threat will keep a kid in line.
Yes if you read my post on the "I hate children thread" I said that from time to time it does take some punishment to keep them in order; Sometimes it is the parents fault or because of letting their kids have early exposure to M-rated games and rude movies or shows. Its modern stuff thats corrupting kids into rude, cursing, annoying kids that we all have probably met at some point in our lives (whether online or in real life).
My main point: Is that kids these days do need discipline to teach them a lesson which most aren't getting from poor parenting. I know my dad would literally beat my ass if i misbehaved.

Every time a load of them crowd around a particular section in a game store, begging their parents to buy something for them. The noise is annoying, and if it's the ds section, it makes the already difficult task of finding decent ds games nigh-on impossible.

Only the teenage brats aged between 12-15. I would never raise my hand to a small child, no matter how annoying they are.

Although there is one 9 year old kid, who I would love to hit. (Not going to say his name.)

Also It's not just me nearly everyone in the village of Coagh hates his guts.

Just about everytime I see one. It's not my fault that they're small, loud and makes everything sticky.
