I like kids that are pleasant and well-behaved. But there are some little cunts that need a good beating. I tend to look at a child by child or parent by parent basis.

Being a child once and having my father beat me when my mother wasn't around I'm kinda biased to say no. Only time I've seen a bad child was when their parents were bad or worse themselves. I want to slap the bad parents but not the kids. Kids who make loud noises are better than the alternatives making loud noises. (Most) Children have creativity and imagination and are energetic or curious, I find that refreshing in a somewhat bleak predetermined world. I'd never hurt a child, and I'd do all I could to prevent anyone from doing it,which of course is very little sadly.

Almost every time that I'm out in public. Gods, I hate kids.

Although, fun game: Next time that you're in public, gently suggest beating the screaming child to his/her parents. The key is to do it in the same tone that you might give them back a dollar that they dropped.

To answer the question: whenever I come across one of those annoying screaming brats, I usually imagine horrible things happening to them. Most of those things involve fire. /sociopath
