If you haven't been following the build up to the release of then new Bioshock; There was some controversy over the cover art.

After some backlash over this design (Too generic was the argument) the creators then made the cover reversible by including an voted for design on the back which was won by...

Which I love the pants off of.

So If you bought the hard copy have you reversed the cover or do you think the original was better?

For those who haven't bought it; which do you prefer?

Elizabeth should have been on the cover, imo. She's pretty much the centre of the entire game.

I don't own a copy yet but once I have mine I'll be flipping the cover art over. The secondary art just looks bad ass! I haven't been following the development of this game and after watching Jimquisition though, it's kind of dumb that Elizabeth wasn't on the front cover...that was an option we had too I believe...oh well, I still like the red cover much more.

Personally I preferred the one with Elizabeth and the Songbird, but that one is pretty I guess...I dunno, the art style just seems weird. I'll probably flip it though.

I didn't really care for the other cover.
I just kept it on the original.

Though I REALLY like the idea of a flip-able cover. It can make things look different and people can change a disliked cover to something better in a few seconds.

More games should do it. :p

The secondary art looks awesome but uhhh I just bought it on Steam... So yeah. That's a thing.

[sub]I'll just leave now[/sub]

I "preordered" it on Steam after The Escapist (and I think every gaming publication ever) gave it 5/5 stars and I got the "preorder" in 3 hours before it came out on Steam. BEATING THE SYSTEM MAN! THE REVOLUTION IS HERE!

It was the second thing I did after inserting the disc into my PS3. It really gives the whole case about a hundred times more class.

Hahaha, the first thing I did was install the game, then flip the cover art. It just feels right, moreso than the 'MURICA F*CK YEAH one at least.

Elizabeth and the songbird were better but it needed a better background color

Yeah, it was delivered 20 minutes ago and the cover art was flipped about 18 minutes ago. It's so much nicer.

Edit: People complaining that Elizabeth isnt on, by the looks of the original post the art was voted on so there cant really be too many complaints IMO, the art that's been given is the art that was most popular.

Wait, what? How can you get a Bioware game on Steam anymore? I thought EA had them pretty firmly locked inside Origin for the PC?

OT: If I get the physical copy (I've yet to get around to playing Bioshock 1 and 2) I will be flipping it, the red one just looks fantastic.

I pre-ordered a physical copy, which I will be picking up after work.

I do plan to flip the art, and I am glad to see the selection that I voted for won :D

Bioshock Infinite is developed by Irrational Games not Bioware, where did you get that idea from? Bioshock and Bioware I guess? Anyway since it's not an EA thing it's on Steam for £29.99 buy now, beat the rush.

My download is on bloody 16%. SIXTEEN after one and a half hours! YOU SUCK INTERNET!

I really don't want to come off as a jerk, but did flipping the cover really need a thread? :p
But, i'll be a hypocrite and say the flip one is WAY better. If anything, should have been the main art IMO.

I agree, it would be wonderful if a lot of developers did this. I can't tell you how many PS3 games I own that just have black or white covers...it's off-putting to me to see all these white/black games lined up on my shelf, though that could be just some odd form of OCD I have or something.

Won't be able to pick up Infinite until this afternoon, which is most unfortunate, but as soon as I'm done mucking about with everything in my Ultimate Songbird Edition, I'll flip it over. The cover art doesn't bother me, but the reverse side is just plain lovely. Some people were disappointed that Elizabeth wasn't on the cover, but I care a hell of a lot more about the Songbird taking his rightful place there.
