Well no shit, of course I know of him, who do you take me for?

Believe it or not, I have played every single version of Rayman 2 (except for the new 3DS one). So that means Dreamcast, N64, Playstation, PS2, and DS. I will stand by my opinion that the Dreamcast one is the best port of the lot, however the N64 one was pretty good also.

Yes, I love the game that much, one of my favourite platformers (Though I wasn't a fan of the first game though. I haven't played the third one, but I do hear good things about it).

The new Rayman games are terrible minigame compilations for kids, so hopefully with Origins Rayman will be back on form again.

You didn't list the iPhone version of Great Escape.

You lose.

Mainly because I don't consider the I-phone a credible gaming platform, but that's just my opinion.

I forgot the PC version though, but I doubt it will work too well with most modern systems anyway.

Oh yeah Rayman is probably one of my favorite video game series.

The Original: Pretty awesome 2D game, rather challenging at the time I played it.

Rayman 2: The disc I had broke so I only got to play through the first 4 or 5 hours, but it was pretty fun.

Rayman 3: AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!!!! In my opnion this was the most underratted platformer of the PS2/GC/XBox (yes even more underrated then Psychonauts). The writing is great, combat is pretty much perfect, terrific puzzles, and it pulls off every little component into a whole piece of perfection. If you still own one of those consoles this one is a must play.

Raving Rabbids: At the time it came out I really enjoyed. It did a great job with the Wii's style of play and I loved the whole gladiator concept they used. I will admit it hasn't stood the test of time as well as the other games, it is a whole lot better then it's obnoxiously dumb sequels. Plus the Arcade stlye shooter levels were such a blast.

I remember playing Rayman on the PSOne when I was a kid. It was a very strange, yet enjoyable game, although I have never beaten it.

The new game looks interesting, though.

Yes! I remember playing the second game on my DC. Was kinda strange as it was the first game I played using the simlish/mumbling speak style. I don't remember most of the details but, I remember it was rather hard.

Wait, people haven't heard of Rayman? That makes me feel old. Properly challenging at yet fun, well the first ones were anyway, can't say I've played much of the Raving Rabbids series, but Origins looks good as well.

Really, people haven't heard of Rayman?!?

Rayman was my first game for the PS1. It was also 2D, and an absolute joy to play. He is a deeply under appreciated gaming hero, with games full of rich and colourful worlds. Raving Rabids is constantly a little bit more than not a "Rayman" game. They're alright for what they do, but it certainly isn't what I come to a Rayman game looking for.

I'm quite looking forward to the new one ^_^

Rayman is a 3d platformer based in a fantasy world about a creature with no limbs but a set of floating hands, feet anda floating head called Rayman. you may of hear of him through the Mario Party rip off called Rayman Raving Rabbids, and even then i hardly accept that as rayman game. The last (PROPER) Rayman game was released in 2003 ....8 years ago. Finally at E3 they announced Rayman origins : a 2d platformer with the most extravagent artistic style, and frankly i think its fuckin awesome.

Just because you don't think the series hasn't released a "proper" installment in eight years doesn't mean it hasn't released installments. It has, and quite a few, actually. When I read the title to this thread, I wondered if anyone HADN'T heard of Rayman. Turns out I was wrong. A whole 2.1% haven't heard of him ;-) Seriously, Rayman is pretty mainstream as far as video game moguls are concerned. Now had you asked if anyone has heard of Ristar or Klonoa, your results may have been a bit different.

I have heard of Rayman, and I never had that much of an inclination to play it when the games came out (though the Rabbids games sound fun).

Had the first game on my Playstation and I played it like crazy.
It was pretty hard though(at least for a boy my age, guess I was 7). Got stuck on the music/cloud levels. :<

I remember Rayman 2. Back when I was younger I found the game epic and hilarious. Fond memories for sure. Haven't been keeping up with him though, sadly. ah well.
