I round my height down. I'm almost 5 foot 7. If asked, I'm 5 foot 6. I would hate to be taller!

Same.

It does kinda annoy me when I see guys taller than me though.

It's just... wrong
I don't like the shoe being on the other foot damnit!
Ditto I have no reason to exaggerate my height either and in all honesty find being too tall (over 6ft by my reasoning) a pain in the neck, I live in a house with low lieing chandeleirs at during uni rooms with fixed low shower heads.
Mind you I will also put my hands up in saying that I do find it surreal occasionally to meet people significantly taller then me (+7ft)when I'm used to being the taller, but apart from that I never thought it was much of a big deal...

Well, since height is usually the only thing I have over other people...

Hell yeah it's a big deal.

I am 5'8" and I hate it! I never been really bothered by it ( most girls I dated didn't really see it as a problem since they were my height or smaller.) . It helps those awkward moments when , if you are a lot taller than your GF , you need to bow down to kiss her .

I am still 18 , so I still hope I will get to 5'10 or something ( really doubt it). It seems I am over the average in my country , but under the average in others like Netherlands and USA.

Yeah, exactly, I never notice my height until I meet someone taller, and then it's just slightly surreal. Also, I share your pain of tall-ism, the doorways to my bedroom and bathroom are both an inch too small, which I brain myself on quite frequently, and my feet always stick out at the end of my bed if I lay outstretched.

Frickin' shorties, have some consideration!

I'm about 5'6 or 7 I think and it's never bothered me, and at 19 I doubt I'll have one of these 'late bloomer growth spurts' :p

Doesn't matter to me, but since everyone adds an inch or two to themselves I'll do the same thing. For example if we're talking about it and someone says they're 5' 10" and they are shorter than me (I'm 5' 10") then I will say I'm 6 feet tall. I actually thought I was 6 feet tall for a while because of those conversations!

Research showed if you're over 6ft, the probability that you'll need a cane by your mid to late 30s exceptionally rises.

I'm 5'7 and I love my height.

QFT.

I'm just shy of 6'8" (like literally 1/10 of an inch short), and every once in a blue moon I'll stumble across someone who's just slightly taller than me. It gives me the creeps.

Oh god. Low ceilings/doorjams/low-hanging ceiling fans or lamps are a colossal pain in the ass. I've hit my head on various forms of that more times than I care to think about.

The one upside to it all is that you learn how to duck pretty quick. And the downside to the upside is that it likes to fuck with my posture even when I'm outside.

People prefer being tall to being short, unless they are already super tall.

I think it mostly has something to do with ideal images, percieved attractiveness and intimidation.
It's not really all that important, save for specific situations and such. People just like to feel more attractive/intimidating than they really are.

That said, I am about 5'7" and I stopped giving a shit ages ago.

I'm exactly 190cm tall, I say I'm 6ft 3 even though I'm like half a centimetre off. Also, height fluctuates during the day, so when I wake up I probably am 6ft 3.

I don't really see it as an advantage but its a pretty good height to be, not too tall or too short

Oh lord. I thought it was bad for me being 6'3". I think I've seen someone your height once.

I think I subconsciously stood on my toes...

all you 6 feet plus people saying it's not a big deal! When you're 5'7" and less it gets ridiculous.
