Ah, but I wasn't saying that people are trying to delude themselves by calling them liars. I'm just saying that they are only human. Humans only have a subjective view of what's going on (they can only really see things from their own perspective) so whatever they believe to be the truth is incomplete and skewed. Therefore anything they say will at best be lacking in truth, meaning a lie, so no matter what anyone says they are always lying, even you and me right now.

Brain teaser for you, if I'm saying that people only tell half truths, and that in itself if a half truth, what does that mean for that statement?

Honestly, It's a shopping center, there are a lot of points of cover, shouldn't be TOO hard to sneak up during the chaos that would ensue, from there, disarms for handguns and rifles are fun and easy, and rear-naked chokes will leave someone uncoscious in a matter of seconds.

I also double as a human shield. And will be getting a CCL soon. =D

A guy pulls a gun, and you seriously think you can run at him and try to disarm him... really?.

No way, I doubt you could get there in time, and there is a strong chance you might escalate the problem, the guy could be a plain clothed cop aiming at something behind you. The guy might suspect you to be doing something dodgy, who know? He aims at you and you charge him, that guy might shoot you just because of that, and to add insult to injury he could claim self-defence.

Unless you are some form of special forces, or superhero, charging him is ridiculous.

I've learnt how to disarm people, so assuming I'm close enough, then I can take the gun off him.

which isn't to say that you actually would succeed.

for most of the people saying they'd do something violent or brave, you might be able to press Q to not die with a game controller, but someone with a gun pointed in your direction is NOT a situation you can just deal with simply. All he has to do is move his hand and you can die. Even if you have a gun of your own, unless you just happened to be pointing it at the guy before he drew his (which would be quite odd) he'll probably shoot you first if he's in a state of mind to be shooting anyone. The only way you're going to have much of a chance to do anything is if you have the initiative somehow, a condition which this example quite obviously denies.
