I get way too attached to bots like them. I even have a kinda name for one of them: "shotgun nurse" she's a medic who always turns up at the same part and always with a shotgun and the same character model.

The player doesn't really build up a relation with the NPC's in the squad. So I wasn't particularly bothered if one of them kissed the ground.
I don't fell sad because they die so easily but I keep forgetting they don't where those specialcondom super suits like Gordan.
I sort of get mad when they run straight into the fight. That is pretty lame. But really, it was one of the few games in which I wasn't sad when they died. They would just run around. Honestly, they weren't characterized enough and they made me mad because they run into enemy fire. The only reason I was upset was because I lost a bullet sponge.

HL2- If they werent nearly unkillable to begin with i would care more, right since i know whether or not they live isnt important at all... since they respawn, and combine soldiers are made out of wet toilet paper.
In game where AI allies -dont- respawn, i usually try hard to keep any ally i got in good shape for as long as i can. The first Half-life game i usually got out of my way to gather a small army of "Barneys' in the early part of the game.

WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE PUT IDIOTIC OPTIONS IN POLLS?!
What's HL2? is not an appropriate option. It skews the results because people that think they're clever click on it. If you don't play the game, then you don't need to be voting. Period. A poll should almost never have more than three options (and two will work for most situations): Yes, No, and Maybe (Sort of applies for yours as well). That's it. That's all that's needed.
It's not funny. It's not clever. It's annoying.
