Alliance. I like Wrynn and NOT dropping zombie barrels on my allies.
The horde never dropped plague on there allies. That was Putress and he was working for a demon lord not the horde.
Which was funded, directed and oversaw by Sylvanas, who still is with the Horde. Go figure. But we're not here to talk about that, that was just one of the reason why I don't like playing Horde.
All I am saying is Putress acted agaisnt Undercity. Almost killed the Dark lady, and was acting with the burning legion. Putress and Varimiathias back stabbed the horde. That's like saying because you bought the knife your responsible for an intruder stabbing you with it.

The attack also wasn't overseen by Sylvanas. She didn't know about the attack. She knew about the plague, but she was developing it to use agaisnt Arthas and his minions, thus why it was developed to kill the undead.
More like giving the intruder the knife then saying Pretty please don't do it. The plague was designed to kill the undead AND the living. I just like Wrynn because he has multiple reasons to hate the Horde, Garrosh being a big one. If I were you guys, I would try to contain him a bit and NOT bring him on sensitive diplomatic missions.
However Putress was a trusted individual. So it was more like giving your co-worker the knife and expecting him not to cut you up when you turned your back.

Garrosh is actually learning to reign back a bit as he is forbidding Sylvanas to use plague weapons.

The reason why i don't like Wrynn is because he needs to learn to let things go. Thrall's horde had nothing to do with burning down Stormwind. Thrall has ample reason to hate The alliance yet he tried so hard to bring some kind of peace. Wrynn just seems to be looking for any excuse to kill people who honestly had nothing to do with his shitty past.

It's kinda like if someone were to try and kill you because your father murdered there father.

He may have been forced to fight as a gladiator but then again so did Thrall. Thrall was able to let it go.
Its not so much that Varian hates the Horde, mostly just the orcs and undead. I think the worst part about Varian's rage at the orcs is cause he's tried, a few times, for peace. Its not in game, its in the comics and books, so its not immediately obvious, but Varian DID go to a peace talk with Thrall. Despite Garrosh being a douche (Great job on company choice) things did go well, until Garona, the ORC that murdered Varians father in front of his eyes showed up and tried killing everyone. That, plus the Ulduar trailer, and a bunch of other things.

I think all it would take for Varian to let his rage go is for Thrall to simply say sorry for what the orcs have done.

Also, I thought Thrall had abolished slavery when Varian was forced to be a gladiator? But I could be wrong on that.
Yeah Garrosh does need to learn to shut the hell up. He is a dick that ruined one to many chances.

The dumbass even attack thrall.

As far as I know Slavery is abolished. After all, all the alliance that surrendered to the horde at Warsong Hold were returned to the Alliance rather then being put to work. I only briefly know about the gladiator thing from people talking so I am not quite sure WHO forced him into gladiator bouts, only that nobody actually knew he was the king. Thrall very well might not have had a single damn clue it was going on. Every society has its criminals.

As for the Ulduar trailer didn't that little spat get started by Wrynn lipping off? Yeah Garrosh over reacted but still he instigated it. They are both idiot in my eyes. Wrynn for being an asshole when it wasn't the time and Garrosh acting like a 12 year old.

Which is odd because the Horde stereotype is stupid assholes and the Allaince stereotype is 12 year olds...
While its true Thrall probably didn't know about the slavery, I doubt making the guy who enslaved the most powerful political figure in the Alliance one of his top advisors. Thats pulling a Sylvanas, right there. But still, not a good idea. At all.

Also, Varian had asked Rhonin what the orcs were doing there, after you know, the whole "We TOTALLY didn't think that Sylvanas was gonna pull that now, swearsies!" Garrosh insulted Varian and his entourage, and things went to hell from there.

Main point: Stop sending Garrosh on diplomatic missions. Seriously.
As i said. Garrosh over reacted, horribly, and I really hope that Garrosh either learns to delegate or Vol'jin starts working politically. Still Rhonin was talking about something more important and Wrynn should have kept his attitude in check, though Garrosh did violently over react like a stupid kid. Like I said, they both acted poorly in my eyes. If Wrynn had kept the attitude out of his voice he would have been in the right that time.

Honestly, Vol'jin should have been the new warchief though. He is the coolest leader the horde has.

Come on Blizzard! Rank Vol'Jin up to War Chief! Seriously!

If I could, I'd say "For the Earthmother!"... but I can't so guess its the horde, but only really because of the tauren, orcs are good too I guess, liked them in warcraft 3 but yeah I kinda have no loyalty to the horde, I just love the tauren.

And come cataclysm I will probably roll a worgen to see the alliance side of things but certainly wont be doing it "for the alliance" (both sides are as bad as eachother these days lore wise, broadly speaking of course), for me the fun of the worgen is more about learning of Gilneas and what its been doing since the 2nd war than the worgen themselves. So I guess it would be more something along the lines of "For King Greymane!" or "For Gilneas!"

I'm Alliance, but...well...

Oh, I'll just say what everyone is thinking; BLIZZARD FAVOURS THE HOOOORDE!
Blizzard has too, otherwise absolutely no one would be Horde.
WoW has the complete opposite problem of WaR, whereas in WaR the bad guys look awesome in WoW the Alliance look at least better than the Horde(-bloodelves). That causes the Alliance to generally outnumber the Horde. Also or because of this their is a major cultural difference between the player groups. The Horde are generally more serious and are less group oriented.
When I played WoW a long time ago, I had a healer and tank for Alliance, because they had more groups and then a mage and rouge for Horde because their stronger(better racial and general stats) and better at soloing.

Though I'm usually playing zombies/skeleton's/evil My friend who got me into wow played alliance and wanted to play with him. Then we got in a great guild I even met IRL and got kinda stuck on the alliance side. I like both really, The gnomes, dwarfs and soon worgen are awesome. and compete with the trolls, orc's, undead and soon gobbo's. I have two 80 alliance chars and in TBC I also played an undead rogue to 70 but since my 'main' friends where on the alliance side of things my rogue got dusty...*I miss you buddy*

Since Cataclysm is coming out in a few months, I think we should find out where the escapist stands in terms of factions.

This is not a Versus thread so keep the faction bashing to a minimum ok?

Are you with the Horde or the Alliance When Cataclysm is out?
Can we bash WoW?

Just kidding, I really don't care.

Anyway that's kinda hard for me, Story wise I found the horde was much cooler in general, but the humans had a higher max coolness. Hmmm...

Alliance I think.

>.< Wish fans would put a -little- bit of effort in learning the lore of Warcraft.
Far too many people refer to the Horde as the "bad guys" and the Alliance as the "good guys".

OT: Still gonna play Horde, probably, but the Worgen are -really- tempting. :3

Someone got to stay alliance so the PvP Ques dont get too long and BG's one sided...
Honestly I don't care of faction, but I grew my roots on to alliance it is hard to break them. (Lighting's Blade EU Alliance/Horde 28%/72% Go figure)

I have retired from WoW permanently, but I am Horde forever. Still deciding what side I am going to be on when the Old Republic comes out.
