So he's making a third transformers film....is this news to some people? I heard he was planning on making a trilogy round about the time the first one was coming out. The only question is - why has it taken him so long? Bearing in mind his movies don't have any new ideas just special effects (cookie for reference).

EDIT: Damn, ninja'd again! That's been happening a lot lately...

More mediocrity from quite possibly, one of the worst directors in modern filmmaking today?

Really guys, the transforming bots make a lot of money for him; so either way, all the disagreeing in the world still makes Micheal Bay easily call it a win for him at the box-office.

I have seen neither of these movies. So apparently I have been spared a great movie scourge. Thank goodness I don't live within 5 miles of a cinema, or I would have been tempted to go & see them.

Well the first film wasn't actually terrible, it was merely very bad. The opening and some of the ending were moderately enjoyable. The middle was gawdawful though (imagine 5 giant robots hiding in a garden while a teenager tries to keep his parents out of his room while they ask him about masturbation).

The second film was appauling. From Obama being a Decepticon, to an elderly lady having a hash cake, to a robot having a giant pair of steel testacles (seriously). Shit, one of the robots even had a little aluminium beard. It was bad. Lots of shakeycam and close ups meaning even the action scenes were an incomprehensible mess.

Uwe boll is still alive and making movies
You can always laugh at his movies because 1: he's totally insane, have you watched Postal?! And 2: he means to be bad although he mentioned in an interview that he thinks his movies are the best.

Nothing but facepalm with Michael Bays' Transformers, the first was decent, the second was...well, not very good...

My favourtite thing in these movies was that Bay wasn't scared of letting a whole base of "good" guys get killed in the first ten minutes of the film.
The films arn't as bad as everyone says they are but when you went to see it did you go to see a deep complex story or giant robots beating the crap of each other with some people pancakes.

I like awesome fights for their own sake - TTGL is one of my favourite anime. Bay's problem is that he took an awesome premise and added a whole lot of crap that does nothing but make the movies worse. Every instant Bonecrusher was on-screen in the first movie was a joy to watch. Annoying loud black guys and moronic cops do nothing but get in the way.

Seriously, it takes a real screw up to see a premise like "Earth Becomes New Battleground for War Between Giant Alien Robots!" and not make a movie I'll love.

Hahaha its funny because you think micheal bays movies are bad. Uwe boll is still alive and making movies. Until he does the world a favor and stops making movies then procedes to burn every one that he ever made no other movie can be called bad
Ever seen Postal? That movie is hilarious. Uwe Boll should have directed comedies, he's not bad at them. He admitted in an interview that he makes the movies bad intentionally because the German government subsidizes him for movies that fail at the box office. The worse it does, the more money he gets, screw the studio.

The only Micheal Bay movie I ever enjoyed was the Island. Then I found out it was plagiarized from an old movie called Parts: The Clonus Horror. Thank you MST3K!

But Meet the Spartans and Disaster Movie and its ilk are all far worse. Honestly, I never liked Transformers. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was where it was at.
I wouldnt mind if he had made them as comedies cause then i could probably appreciate it but I did not want to see a comedy of house of the dead i wanted to see a decent movie which represented the game well which it was not. Same thing with bloodrayne. I appreciate he makes bad movies to make money but im not happy that hes slaughtering the franchises i love to do it

Obama...a Decepticon. WHAT? Seriously, that sounds rather dire. Thanks for the tip, but it sounds like the first movie's opening & bits of ending aren't worth the DVD :D
