Poll: How do you mark your place in a book?

Since I usually start reading on the way home from the store, I typically use the receipt to mark the page. It's convenient, and oddly personalized.

I typically use the receipt from the library. If/when I lose that, I'll just use whatever's lying around - used envelope, piece of klennex (clean), scrap paper, etc.

I use currency. It's thin.

I remember the page number.

I use a dollar bill cause I got tired of not caring that I lose the bookmark every time I read it.

I memorize the page I was on. I do an awful lot of reading.

A magnetic bookmark that keeps it in place. It also has my name written on it. I don't like dogearing the page since that can damage the book.

I do not mark a place. I don't even stress to much about page number. Most of the time i'll be able to find my place when i return to a book, and it'll probably do some good anyway to re-read and skim over a few pages to remind you of where you were.

I use a bookmark, for the longest time it was the jack of clubs from a deck of cards, then a card my brother made for one of his art shows. My parents actually bought me a book mark for my birthday so that is what I have been using since.

I often leave the book open facing down so it'll remain on the same page. Or i rip a random piece of paper from somewhere and use it as a bookmark.

I always stop on an even numbered page or the beginning of a new chapter. I then either memoris the page number or chapter number depending on which I consider will be easier. I don't use bookmarks or anything.

If I have a bookmark I use it, unfortunately I suffer from "Constant Bookmark Loss"
And I can't remember where they go. I'm pretty sure there is a room in my house that just has like a thousand bookmarks. When I don't have a bookmark, (Which is often) I do it doggy style. I mean... Dog ear style...
