It's almost a standard now for RPGs to have a way for you to choose your characters motive. Some play as good characters. Others play as evil people. But what do you play as and why? I'd say I like to play as evil because it allows you to play the game more freely.

Evil.

Baddies are FAR more interesting--they MAKE the story. Without a villain, everyone would be picking flowers and talking to baby deer in a meadow.

WE CAN'T HAVE THAT NOW!

Either neutral (just for rorschachness) or good.
I like playing the hero.
And I like playing the not-so-good-but-friggin-awesome hero.

But!
Neutral people are always like Hamlet.
And that guy was pretty cool.

Yeah, my first choice is always goody two-shoes. I'm hoping Dragon Age kicks me out of the habit, because in real life I'm immensely neutral - so long as I benefit from what I do, it's fine with me.

I like to think I am neutral but Im really not since I always end up being good in the end.

I find in general, when offered the choice of being good or evil, that I'll pick the good choice, even though most of me is screaming to be an absolute bastard. In more traditional games, DND style things, I generally play neutral, but with good tendencies every now and again.

Most of the time the first playthrough will have me acting as I would in real life, so good. I do always go back and play as evil as well though. It's usually more fun, but I always feel obligated to do a good playthrough first anyway.

There are very few (if any) games though that I feel do morality and moral choices correctly.

Case by case scenario for me. If there is a difference between the 2 like infamous had different skills for good / evil will read over the tips of the future abilities and decide which sounds better. Otherwise if there is no apparent difference when i start i think generally i play evil.

I always end up playing good, it just always seems to be the way the developers intended me to play the game.

If the game is as embracing as Deus Ex I tend to go with choices that I would make in real life, rather than fuck everything up lol. So mainly good, but human characteristics come out like revenge if a character really screws me over in game.

I tend to pick the good path whenever possible. But when given an option, I will take a sarcastic dialogue choice every time.

In other words, I'm the nicest asshole you're ever going to meet.

Whatever mood I'm in really. If I'm pissed, I'll be an evil bastard and kill a bunch of people. Most of the time I'm too timid not to be a good guy.
