Poll: How do YOU pronounce "hentai"?

I pronounce it Hen-Tay, but apparently I am going to change my pronunciation. Anyways, I'd wish I learned Japanese.

I've never actually hear it pronounced at all. It's just not something that gets brought up in conversation.

You obviously don't know my friends. Let's just say I learned quickly not to look at what they where doing on their PSP without asking first.

Anyway, as several people have said, it's pronounced "hen-tie".

You're really not supposed to. H.P. Lovecraft's work was about things beyond our imaginations, and therefore having words that you aren't supposed to pronounce since you're not an alien god. Personally, when I have to say it, I pronounce it Kuh-thoo-loo. Though you can pronounce Nyarlahotop, if I'm spelling that right, since that's his human name. Don't ask me how to say it, since I'm not even sure if I'm saying it correctly.

Hen-tie. I used to pronounce it the latter way, but got corrected by someone else. And, the latter sounds too much like the Pokemon Entei, and they aren't things I want to get someone else confused about.

Probably a smart move not to mix those two.
