Zee. "Zed" sounds silly to me, like you're insisting on using some military phonetic alphabet in regular speech, and it just doesn't sit well with all the other letters whose names end in "ee." Plus I live in America, so that's just the way I've always heard it pronounced.
Apparently it was just a big fuck you to British people. So there you go British people, this time we are doing it just to piss you off. We aren't your colonies any more, nya nya.
Y'know I actually used to say zee, even though it's zed (or close enough) in my native language. And I was always annoyed how much it sounds like C. Damn you, viral American culture! I'm gonna start saying zed now.
