Coffee is the one drink I actually like to take time to prepare and enjoy. That being said, I don't overdo with all the sugar and such. One sugar cube, tablespoon of cream and I'm good.
(Coffee rant anybody?)
Though alas, my poor coffee maker. I have a very unintelligent sister unit who, despite working at a coffee sales company (who never STFU about coffee)and bragging about her know how, left coffee grounds in my coffee maker. Now, I'm not a mysophobic or anything, but I can't stand the molding and germs that fester in wet coffee grounds left to rot.
Now, I had asked her when she was finished with my coffee maker, "Did you clean out the coffee grounds?" I'm very particular about this. She answered affirmative and I foolishly figured "Hey, she works around coffee all day, of course she cleaned it out." I had to go out of town for a bit, thus leaving my poor coffee maker to its own sad fate, I return to make some coffee only to find a mold fest taking place in my machine! So my coffee machine has retired and I'm not so pleased as to why it died. Seriously, you'd think a person who works around coffee all day, would know how to clean up after it. It is probably one of the simplest most mundane tasks in the kitchen next to dishes and washing the counter.
