I just traded my 10-meg cable connection for 6-meg DSL. Why the step down? Two reasons. One is price (the DSL is $15 cheaper a month), the other is live sports, courtesy of ESPN360.com, which my old ISP (Charter) doesn't support.

Though that speed is rather slow for what i get normally, it just depends on what my housemates are doing/downloading >_>;

I have gotten 5Mb/s on speedtest site, though the fastest i've gotten is 1MB/sec from two torrents (one was 800KB/s the other was 200KB/s but looking in Netlimiter from time to time i see it get around 700KB/s from a combo of downloading and web surfing.

Seems to vary wildly though... sometimes I get close to 8Mbit, others it's barely faster than dial-up.

not even enough to play xbox live half the time. The thing about Clearwire is initial download speed is around there, but after 30-40mb, clearwire cuts the speedboost and then I get around 1/3-1/2 of that, the bastuds.

that even good internet in belguim sucks i mean we have a downland limit a very bad internet connection and the server is far so we relay need a new network, and mine real dawnlaod speed is around 120kb/s
