Well, for RTS's I am ok I suppose, if I can get into ti. Like I was in Plat League for the SC2 Beta (Not that anyone really knows what that means/cares)

However, I was a fully sponsored player for MW2 for the past two seasons. Shit was great! Also got a nice headset for the effort.

Oh, I'm just fantastic, absolutely magnificent.
Wait, what? Gaming? Pretty good, but if you count luck I'm fucking awesome.

Hey! I love that too, it's so refreshingly rewarding to crush your challengers with a newly created deck.

I like to build big decks, because then you can do long, interesting battles.
But I find that a powerful speed deck is much more likely to win.
Me and my friends all play long haul decks, I tend to go for heavy defensive combo decks with ridiculous life gain and then some means of dealing consistent damage to wear down opponents, powerful flying creatures/(x)walk creatures. Some means of dealing hard to block damage.

We usually play 3/4 player games as well which are awesome fun.

Severely depends on what game. I can handle myself reasonably well in most genres, but only in single player.

I suck at multiplayer, usually.

I am a god among men

Kidding, but in all seriousness, I am pretty good. I'm not psychotic(you know those assholes who spend every waking second play halo or call of duty) I'm just good enough to beat everyone I know, especially since I specialize in three second takedowns.

I'd say about slightly above average. But seeing my little sister beating me on a few games is starting to knock my confidence.

pretty damn good, but not at all pro.
Currently, FPSs are fun with friends, but lack the challenge that RTSs, ie SC2, have. I'm lower diamond there, but hope to work my way further up the ranks.

I'm a pretty good fighting gamer, cept on street fighter, which seems to be the only one that matters. I've always wanted to challenge the Lord of Tekken to a T6 match tho, i consider myself pretty awsome at that one..not so good a fps's tho. decent at rpgs(western)

I'd think I'm pretty good. Used to almost always get the top scores in BF2142, CoD4 and sometimes in BF:BC2. RTS, MMO's and all the other, dear lord no. I get pummelled at those.

I see a lot of people in this thread claiming to be good at RPGs. I'm wondering if this is just a general attribute of the Escapist community or it speaks to how people perceive their successes in an RPG compared to other genres. Either way, I find it interesting.

Avarage.
A complete asshole on- and offline, I use every little flaw to my full advantage, so that gets me some pretty decent statistics.
Except for DMC 4, because I was simply awesome in the game (Royal Guard FTW).
And last week, we played some RUSE Free weekend with some friends online, 2v2.
I rushed the guy opposite of my base with infantrys, took over the OTHER guy's barracks (it was quite forward, and a bit in front of the other's base), started churning out more soldiers, took over unlucky guy's entire base.
Then I laughed like a fucking maniac over TeamSpeak.
Good times.

I can become good at most games pretty much overnight, but that's all. I never become more than good.

I really suck hard at anything that doesn't have 'Zelda' or 'Pokemon' in the title. For everything else, it's easy difficulty time!
I also like to think I'm good at RTS and turn-based, but I always concentrate on economy and building nice things and becoming technologically superior, completely ignore the military, then cry as my aggressive, stone-age, spear brandishing neighbours come along and gang-rape my futuristic, poorly-protected, pacifist cities off the face of the planet.
Yes, Civilization 3, I'm looking at you.
