First got introduced to the site by ZP. Watched it regularly for about 2 years, then finally decided to join earlier this year. Much like many other posters.

After being introduced to ZP, I started watching Unskippable every week since it started and joined shortly thereafter. Why? I dunno actually. I suspect so I could comment in these forums and press my opinions and complaints upon my internet peers. xD

(Dont flame me, pls) Well I was on facebook and saw this zynga spam about a voting going on this site about game developers and out of my curiosity I clicked. Came to March Mayhem and found the round 2 ongoing with many developers, it asked me to register with face book account before voting, I clicked and joined in less then one minute. After 2 weeks around I love the site, the topics brought on, and how active and mostly how fair majority of posters are on every thread. And I intend to remain here till some mods get sick of me and kick me out, or a major event like death or total loss of physical and mental health prevents me from keep posting.

Hello Escapist members in general. So I've finally got the courage to join the site (a big deal for me,it's the first time I've joined any site) as it's got such a good/friendly forum.

I'm naturally shy when dealing with people I don't know so I've held off from joining. While this probably isn't uncommon, I've been a daily visitor to the forums for the last 18 MONTHS. I first found the escapest 4 months earlier through the zero punctuation videos.

So I ask you, how long after you found the site did you actually join? Has anyone seriously taken longer than me to join?

I found it when Yahtzee did his first videos for The Escapist[footnote]"Heavenly Sword and other stuff"[/footnote], some friends showed it to me. Then I visited weekly for two years, before joining when Rebecca Mayes came here. To the OP: [HEADING=1]Welcome![/HEADING]

I watched Zero Punctuation from Halo 3 till his new theme song came out and still didn't join. I've never joined a site before so I was kinda worried about joining. Then I did and I posted immediately. Now I love the place (despite taking long random breaks from visiting it).

About 2 years of reading the site, although I never read the forum nor had any interest in joining another one on top of the ones I already visited. Unfortunately most of those totally tanked for a couple of months around last September so I joined here.

More then a year of lurking the forums and watching vids, then I made a account... and didn't use it for another 3 months.

Now I use my account to vote for MM, to vote on polls, to comment on vids or to write quik responses to topics like this.
