Poll: How long was it for you between finding the escapist and joining?

Took me a few weeks. If I remember correctly I found a thread I really wanted to post in and that finally made me join. I had been watching the ZP videos for a few weeks (maybe a month) when I finally joined.

I remember discovering the escapist in early 2009 while searching for some good editorials on the subject of video games. Then a few weeks later I wanted to join to try genre war, but at my great surprise I already had an account and it is dated from 2007. I have absolutly no idea where it comes from...

I think the first ZP I saw was Guitar Hero 3 (released on 12th December 2007) and I joined on 31st March 2008. So... about three and a half months.

Two years minus 4 days. I started coming to the escapist regularly when the episode of ZP on Bioshock was released. Only joined 2 years later.

After seeing ZP on G4 I decided to check out the Escapist and I was lurking around for like three months.

Eventually I decided to join because of how interesting and nice the forums here were.

Well, I came here when Unforgotten Realms started on the Escapist and I joined the forums in January of this year. So from 15th May 2008 to 3rd Jan 2010. So 20 months. Nearly 3 years.

Actually, that's 1 year and 8 months so nowhere close to 3 years

I came here for the first time reading about this year's March Mayhem. Joined a few days later.

I joined today... Usually I'm not really interested in forums like these, but it's been more than a year now that I've been visiting these forums so my guess is that I'll stay for a while. That and the fact that I could use my facebook account to register here.
I finally found a purpose for that useless account I made years back hurray!!!

I just browsed the forums and was an avid watcher of various videos. However, after seeing a few forum posts that I really wanted to say something to, but was unable, I decided to sign up. Now I have to go back and watch all those videos again so I can earn me some badges, sweet sweet badges.
