I *think* ME3 is undisputedly my favourite game of all time. I can't seperate the game from my character though. And my character from Jennifer Hale's voice acting. I felt despair along with Shepard when those rockets missed.

Up until the last 10 minutes, best game of the trilogy, hands down.
Flat out amazing.

Even with the shitty ending, the game is on my top 5 games ever list.

Until the last 10 minutes, it was the best game I've ever played.

I've never been so emotionally attached to so many characters in one franchise before.

It's quite rare for a game to hit me so emotionally, that I well up with tears.

ME3 managed this feat several times.

My GF started taking the piss out of me During THAT Thane scene since apparently I teared up, She will never understand! He was the bravest of them all! And he had Squad Armour piercing ammo!

My fiancee doesn't understand why I love Garrus so much.

'He's just some computer game character'

She just doesn't understand the bromance we share.

i Also apparently cheered when i walked in on Garrus and Tali, after two games of insults and taunting was actually surprising and REALLY funny to see them together. If anything the lack of seeing where that was going made the ending sting a little (I didn't mind it as much as everyone else it seems)

but yeah, REALLY well written game for the most part, but the real credit has to go to Mrs Hale, best voice actor EVER.

It's a shitty fanfic turned into a game.

Fucking terrible. Really not interested in big-budget shit games being called 'game of the year'
I'm sensing some hostility.

Don't ask me how I know. Trade secret.

It was great, my favourite Mass Effect game to date until

You get shot by the Reaper who is apparently Harbinger

That literally ruined the entire game for me.

I voted Bad, because what had been an incredible experience, completely soured me during the last 10 minutes.

Still a quality game, but of course the last 10 minutes of a game ARE THE LAST 10 MINUTES YOU REMEMBER OF THE GAME, which is why ME3 has been getting a rougher outcome from the ending. A bad beginning, you lose the new comers but keep the fans. A bad middle, most will forgive a few inconsistancies. But a bad end is the worst place for error. Stll a high quality game. Better than ALOT of others, and the story, gameplay are all as engaging as ME and ME2.

It's an amazing game overall. It's just the ending, Shepard talking too much on his own, and some graphical issues that I had a problem with.

It did come off a little fanfictiony to me. Ashley and Tali getting drunk. Or Garrus and tali hooking up. I'm sorry fangirls and boys. GARRUS HATES TALI. HE WOULDNT HAVE HOOKED UP WITH HER.

It's like straight out of a bad shipper fic. I was expecting Shepard to start humping a dog next.

And what the fuck was with all the "i love you". Like Shepard couldn't walk into a room without someone professing their eternal love for Shepard.
This may come across as a foreign concept, but some people actually love other people.

Garrus is sarcastic, he never states that he dislikes Tali. He may make fun of her, that's hardly the same as disliking someone.

Some people drink when they need to relax. If I had the entire weight of the galaxy on my shoulders, I'd want a drink every now and then.

Not everyone is a misanthrope.

Amen to that brother. It was a bit rough on the edges but it was like a dirty gem. Just needed some polish.
See, this is something I'm sure most of us can get behind. Now if you just be reaso-

That's not very reasonable.

Anyways, I do feel like BioWare was... over sensitive to feedback. Mako was disliked?
SCRAP. EVERYTHING. No more sense of exploration! At all! [sub]
(Yes, I realize that I just whined to Zeel about making hyperboles. Shut up.)[/sub]

Like Mordin
Him dying while singing? Really? Sure the song in ME2 was great but... not what defined the character.
And the turian diplomat saying that Garrus went ahead muttering something about calibrations was quite funny.
After that it got old real fast.

But I seem to be alone in feeling that there was a bit much of refrences, so I guess it just wasn't for me.

What really dragged ME3 from true greatness - aside from the ending* - were the cinematics. Not a lot of people seem to be minding this either, but when a game is about creating your character and making choises, tearing the control away from me felt really forced. It's annoying enough when cinematics allow your character to do something you can't do in gameplay, but to reduce Shepard into someone too incompetent to shoot someone 5 meters away just... frustrated the shit out of me.
In the very beginning on Mars Kaidan almost got killed because I wasn't allowed to shoot because plot armor.(infact the whole chase was stupid) Then Thane got killed. Then the fucking clue to the catalyst was stolen.

Not related but also stupid and incompetent: the council in the very beginning.
I was actually feeling good about having done everything pretty much perfectly. Then the game just makes me lose regardless, by making my Shepard retarded.

Both of these really reduced the emotional impact.

tl;dr It wouldn't have suprised me if the robodog was there just so Kai Leng could kill your dog while he's protected by plot armor.
Still a great game. Just not quite what it could have been.

*[sub]I'm a believer.

I liked ME3 a lot until the end that is.

I think the combat in ME3 is the best in the series. The exploration part could have been better (only one hub world etc.). Kai Leng as the physical villain (TIM is more like the physiological villain so to speak) is underdeveloped and not very impressive. I know his figure is more explored in a spin off but I don't care about that.
Pacing of the story was better then ME2 but not quite as good as 1. Writing and story was alright until the ending...
However the ending just ruins it all.
I played thru ME1 6 times and thru ME2 3 times but I won't be playing ME3 a second time. I just can't bring myself to import my renegade character knowing the end of the story.

As a whole it diminished my experience of the series. I can't forgive it for that.
I voted for bad.

With the exception of the ending (Which I actually didn't mind that much, but thought was somewhat lack-luster), I think ME3 is te best sci-fi game I've ever played.
