Poll: How many of you actually nickname your Pokemon?

I nickname all of my Pokemon. I won't move on in my game until I find a good enough name, even if I never plan on using that Pokemon.

When playing seriously, I never give my Pokémon a nickname.

My Cyndaquil on Pokémon Crystal, however, is named "Herpes".

I nickname them sometimes. If I really like them. But usually just to make a really stupid jokes. For example, I was grinding once in Soul Silver and I ran into a Tauros that used rage on me. I got really excited right away, caught him, and named him Joey. And just recently I caught a Petilil, just so I could name it PetiLOL. Yeah, I'm an idiot.

I play my kid's show-based games more maturely now.

OP: I almost never nickname my pokemon, but in this gen I've nicknamed every one of my important pokemon.

Nicknaming is essential if you are going to battle your team.

You can play serious mind games with your opponent by calling your charizard a blastoise, or whatever.

At the moment I have:
Frosty [the Snow-Cone] - Vanillish
Revolver [Ocelot] - Samurott
A'Tuin [the Star Turtle] - Carracosta
[Colonel] Mustard - Stoutland
Iorek [Byrnison] - Beartic
Lumiere - Chandelure

I like to give awesome nicknames.
Things in square brackets are things that wouldn't fit as part of the name.

They all get a name. Even when I can't think of one.

A lot of my Pokemon are named after swears.

For Pokemon Black, I named my character Jaden and nicknamed my Pokemon after Elemental Heroes and other cards Jaden uses.

Charizard: Gore(Al) Because, y'know, Global Warming.
Gyarados: Mr. Fish
Jolteon: Lewis[Desceased]
Nidoking: NINO
Snorlax: Gabe
