Poll: How Many Of you Gamers Smoke Cigarettes?

i smoke not heavily, a pack will last me 2-3 days, depending on how many my fiance skavs off me (although in fairness i do the same to her.) Recently we've both been reducing the strength of our cigarettes (Australia, for some reason, has more options that then Full/Lights/Menthol we have in the UK.) I do have a fondness for Kreteks, when i can find the damn things, but generally i smoke Winfields (sky blue now, used to be gold), being as they are not too disagreeable and reasonably cheap.

I don't smoke, tried it once - coughed and weezed, never did it again. I guess it just isn't for everybody.

I smoke weed on occasion, but it never gets me high. I also enjoy cigars, i like the smell. I guess I don't find a point in smoking. Drinking is the only thing I over-do, gotta love living in Canada at age 19

And the hazards of smoking are SOOOOOO OVERRATED! Seriously, Smoking HARDLY KILLS. My grandparents are living proof. Theyre chain smokers deluxe, they're in their 80's and still healthy. The only thing thats killing them is heart disease, NOT caused by smoking.

I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. It's not that I am opposed to any of these (if other people want to do all that, fine, just leave me out of it) and it's not that I feel that by not doing any of it that I'm 'doing the right thing', I just don't want to. Simple as that.

I might have a celebratery Cigar on my birthday though, (gotta do something when you're 18, right?)

Are you sure about that? I'm usually the first to cheer for the 80 year old smokers, but isn't smoking tobacco one of the leading causes of heart disease?

Yeah, smoking hookah tobacco is fantastic, nothing quite like it. I do smoke cigarettes and pot, especially while playing video games. Nothing quite like getting stoned and playing through Final Fantasy IX.

It's kind of disappointing and a testament to my own dying imagination that I need to get high to achieve the same level of video game immersion that I used to get as a child.

I smoked for eight years or so, tried to quit a hundred times at least, and finally managed it a year-and-a-half ago. I still have the occasional one whilst drinking though. It's strange, but ninety-nine percent of the time, I can't think of anything I'd less rather do than smoke, but then once in a while, it seems like the best idea I could possibly have.

I do feel a lot better for not smoking, although I do miss the smoking room at my old work, sitting around with my friends with a coffee and a cigarette talking about what bastards all the people who weren't in the smoking room were. Although since they've banned smoking in workplaces in the interim, I suppose I'm not missing anything anyway.
