Having completed Pandemic a few times everything else is just a rounding error.

Over a billion easily.

Mind you I am taking Star Wars Empire at war into account and the use of the death star on a populated planet easily adds up to more than a billion.

well taking over one planet in Galactic Civilizations 2 can easily be over 8 billion humanoids dead...
I love that game.
Poll needs higher limit.

Definitly more than 1 billion. Pandemic anyone?
With only this game my kill count should be way above 1 billion.

Then we add all the Civ-like or Master of Orion-like games, fps, rts and all the little arcade games on websites like armor games etc. and we'll end up at something around 100-200 billions deaths.
20 years of hard work :>

I'd say over a billion, what with all the space RTS games I've played.
My hands are stained with the pixelated blood of digital innocents. Well, guilty people/things as well, but too many innocents.

Just from my LoL main account I have 100.000. But I've also played Total War games and Command and Conquer.. and Company of Heroes, come to think of it.
No idea.. I'll guess about 50 million?

Let's just say that if killing of video game beings became a criminal offense, I would have enough dirt on me from my gaming career to be put in the stockades until I'm a VERY old man.

Fun Fact: For taking an enemy combatant's dogtag you could (read will) be courtmarshaled on the basis of war crime.

All those CoD players...

Easily over a billion. Ignoring all shooters (including Just Cause 2 and Crimson Land, games I seem to never tire completely of) and my Guild Wars-addiction (now GW2-addiction), one of the Star Wars games (I really cannot recall which[footnote]Edit: It might be Empire at War[/footnote]) allow you to use the Death Star on populated planets...

FPS: AI or human players online? Combined; around about 1 million, maybe more, probably a bit less.
AI; 600,000+. Humans; 100,000+.

All genres: Millions of AI have been terminated by my hand and still about 100,000 human players have been forced to see the relative "game over" screen or respawn timer because of me.

How many humans players or AI have I put myself in danger to save? Probably a good 1000 or so total. Maybe a disproportionate few hundred of each biased to human players. I died maybe a hundred times for those 1000.

Let's see, I've played all 5 Civilaziation games, Master of Orion 1 and 2, and a hole bunch of different 4x and TBS games, so easily over 1 Billion, it wouldn't surprise me if I was nearing 100 Billion.

How many I've killed? If we count GalCiv2, Master of Orion and Sins of a Solar Empire: untold billions upon billions. I first wanted to say that with Defcon I had killed a lot, but then I realised that Defcon is small scale compared to Master of Orion or GalCiv2. I have obliterated entire star systems. I have virus bombed planets. I have cleansed worlds in nuclear fire.

Well, seeing as in Civilization, the population value in fact represents one million people, that racks up a lot of kills very quickly, so it would definitely be more than a billion.

Given that Ive played quite so many computer games I go with over a billion. And this was probably surpassed by the time I was about 12.

A little known space trader/empire building RISC-OS game called Exodus I played about then allowed you to nuke planets of 10mil-100mil. I completeed the game 5+ times and destroyed probably 20+ planets in each playthrough. Do the math.

A metric shit-ton is what my calculator came out with.

Oh my...I was just thinking of FPS kills...then you mentioned RTS as well and the death toll skyrocketed. I'm a monster...and monster!...fun though.

I've played a lot of games and all that. However to avoid difficult maths and deep thought.

ME3 destroy ending, wiping all sentient life off dozens of planets on Spore because my economic race kept getting into holy wars with all the religious ones, RTS including games with spacecraft capable of having crews in the thousands, choosing Undead in WB3 and sweeping over the entire known world..., destroying Mantis homeworld in Conquest: Frontier wars...

Mantis homeworld alone would have countless billions of sentient 'people'.

But if you want to be specific with Humans... Low millions I'd guess.

It would be difficult to get over 1M on FPS's alone. Simple math at 1 kill every 6 seconds (decent average of multiplayer wait/singleplayer slaughter) would clock in at 1666 hours of pure gameplay (at the 1 kill every 6 seconds) for every million. Unless you are a professional FPS player it is not likely FPS's will get you much more then 1-3 Million. RPG's have the same issue, while when you do kill you can kill alot, that tends to be in bursts so the average, like FPS's won't get much lower then 1 kill every 6 second (and MMOs generally require you to spend a few seconds on a mob, factor in time to gather a group or move to a new target and you are looking at 5 secs a kill max).
Now RTS, especially the ones where units are in clusters and act as cannon fodder, it is much easier to beat the 1 kill every 6 second (1 cluster every 6 second, with a cluster having 5-10 units already makes the total explode).

I put mine at a modest 1-10mil, though I have been a strong RTS fan, I haven't played as strongly the massive unit ones (Shogan Total War being the largest for group clusters) so I have toned it down. Though by the numbers I am probably pushing the 10mil mark.

Good luck on the totaling up ^^.
