Usually 2:00-6:00 on weekdays, 2:00-8:00 on weekends. Now excuse me, the dancing elephants want are trying to order a pizza.

It's been five to six for the last four or five years. Lately I've been trying to get between seven and eight, but my body seems hard wired to that six hour maximum, I always wake up after six hours and I can't get back to sleep. It gets annoying because I know I could use more rest, but my body just doesn't agree with me.

8 hours every day or more, it's unhealthy to sleep for less than 8 consistently.
Actually, its unhealthy to sleep less than your body naturally requires. The overall average is around 8 but many people are optimal with more or less.

And no, I don't have a set time when I'm in bed. I tend to go to sleep when I'm tired and stay up if I'm not.

I used to get around 6-7 hours of sleep, but now seeing as I don't have to go to school due to cancer treatment I can sleep as long as I want, so I end up getting 10-11 hours now.

Best part of my life. You do not know how good it feels to get that much sleep, all the time.

depending on the day I shoot for 4-5. Lately i have been in bed by 230 am, asleep by 3am and up around 10am. To be honest that 7-8 hours makes mee feel more tired then if i sleep4-6 hours.

I haven't really slept in approaching three days. -.-

Most nights when insomnia isn't hurting me, I get around 6-8 hours.

The weird thing about me and sleep is that I can get either around 6 or around 12, anything in between and I'm a mess.

So what ends up happening is that at slow times like the past 2-3 months I'll just sleep a full 12 hours but at busy times (like the 6 months before that) I'll sleep 5-6 hours a night and wake up fully energized.

It's weird because if things are slow and I try to sleep less than the full 12 hours I can't function... But if things are busy there are nights where I sleep 5 hours and function perfectly well the next day.

Normally I aim for 8 hours of sleep. Nine is a bonus.
On vacation time I can sleep up to 14 hours depending how long I've been up.
During the more intense days of work (usually March-April) I might be up for four days at a time (with brief naps along the way in an office chair.)

I sleep 4-8 hours. It does not really matter though, I never feel rested. At least I know why (thanks to a sleep study) now.

I think that would be considered a different forum topic, but i feel ya. i normally sleep about 8-9 hours too and normall go to bed about 10 or 11 but this week has been significantly less for an unspoken reason. probably 4 one day, 5 another, and the rest not at all
