With my student card before noon it is about £3.90. After noon I think it is £4.40. If it is 3D, it is about £5.

Usually 8 or 9 euros, something like that. That's about 10-12 dollars. Bloody hell that's a lot, seeing as some people can go to the theatres for half that. And I always have to buy a 5 euro train ticket and often a soda as well (as I bring my own M&M's).

But I like the cinema experience, even when I go alone (which is pretty much always) so I'll be happy to pay it. I got plenty of money anyway. /gloat.

Unless it's imax, Then we're talking like 20 rupees.

Exchange rate: 1 rupee = 1 usd
Actually, the actual exchange rate is 1 rupee = 0.0223714 USD. Hyrule ain't doing good these days.

$10-12 for normal, but $15 for 3D.

BUT- there is a crappy theater (one of my favorite) that runs movies for $2 a ticket! I think they get the film for a bargain price when other theaters stop showing the movies, and they can get a huge discount on costs!
I call it the sticky theater, thanks to its floor...

around £4, which would be $7-$10.

But really it all depends on the cinema. An imax is gonna cost more than just your local cinema.
(although I will usually spend a fortune on food and drink anyway)...

I live in china where the cost is based on how popular it is. They can do this because they posses a cavalier attitude and don't give a fuck what official regulations are.

However, for something finite I only know the Imax across the road (take that bitches), 100RMB. That's about $15
I'm in Shanghai and it's similar here, roughly 60 RMB for 3D =D thats like what... $10 and 30 RMB for 2D films =D
Loving It!

$7-8 for Matinee showing, sometimes Evenings, depending on theatre.

$10 for Evenings most places.

$12 at some of the bigger malls or cinemas, Fri/Sat Evenings

Well there's different prices depending on when you see the film, in the cinemas in Denmark.

If it's before 6 PM it's cheaper and if it's after 6 PM and it's a 2hr+ movie, then the price is around 18-20$ in USD.

I'd say on average though, the price is 15$ for a standard movie.
That's about right :)
It's a bit cheaper where I live, mainly because it's in the middle of nowhere, and we happen to have a cinema... Also in Denmark. 3-D is around 16-18$ USD in these parts...
I hope that becomes the average rate in the entire country, I really want to go to a cinema with a decent screen size...

Time is irrelevant in New Zealand. $15NZD for anything ($12 on 'Super Tuesday'.....) and $18 for anything in 3D.

Around 90 SEK is the normal price here in Sweden, which I believe is around 11$.
Haven't been to the cinemas for a few years now though.
