...on DLC, whether it be from Xbox Live, the PS3 Network... heck even the wii? :p

...and, was it worth it?

In total, i've probably spent about £100. I certainly hope its not more than this.

This is the reason why I don't EVER buy DLC, I'll occaisionally buy the GOTYE editions, but to me most DLC seems like a half arsed mod made by the original company rather than some random dude playing around with the level editor. I remember the days when they were called expansion packs, they seemed to be worth the money in those days.

I buy some things because they offer exclusive content or can't be bought otherwise or are really rare.

On XBLA I got Shadow Complex, Castlevania : SOTN, and Marvel vs Capcom 2. (The first is an XBLA exclusive, the latter two are rare games to find). I also got Portal on XBLA because it comes with challenge maps not available otherwise (though I still have the Orange Box as well).

Otherwise I usually steer clear of DLC. I won't pay money just for some expansions usually. (I won't be caught dead buying Mass Effect on GOD when I could own a physical copy for cheaper).

Much better.
Does buying Virtual Console and WiiWare count as DLC?

I'm always incredibly careful about the DLC I purchase so I've found myself enjoying all the DLC I download.

I buy some things but only those I know are worth it. i.e. the gta expansions on 360. I made the mistake of buying some costumes for star wars force unleashed and played the game again looking like a robot... woopty f**king doo! I fail to see why the same game with a shiny new skin is worth 800 of my Microsoft points!

Hmm...probably about $120 on the Wii for the classic games, replaying them with my wife. (Shining in the Darkness is much, much easier than I remember it.)
Another $60 on the 360 for Rockband DLC and for "I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1"

EdiT: I'm satisfied with the money I've spent. I tend not to spend it lightly.

I'm about even. Because there was some things I bought that were disappointing for the cost but for the most part I buy good DLC. Though most of my money is in Rock Band (downloaded at least 80 songs) and Halo (bought all map packs on day of release, except mythic #2 because of ODST).

Yeah, no offence, but you got screwed over. :p
I avoid costumes and weapon dlc like a plague.

Companies tend to look at DLC in one of two ways
A way to improve/expand a game
A way to make more money.

Lucas Arts falls into the latter i'm afraid. :(

Finally someone with the right idea.

Well, I can honestly say that unless it's been packaged with the game, I have only bought DLC once. That was the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack when I bought the game itself. And yes, it was definitely worth it. Any other DLC has either been with the game itself (e.g. I bought the Game of the Year Edition of Oblivion), or it's been completely free. That's what you get for sticking with Valve and PC gaming ;D.

gee the dlc for forza3 seemed to be good at the time but you still have to earn the points to buy the cars that is wrong
the dlc for dirt 2 was worth it , saints row 2 was kinda meh , burnout paradise was another meh purchase just waiting till ea shuts down the server
now i'm waiting for mw2 dlc even though i don't care for the game

as for games like fallout 3 and gta4 , i bought the fallout 3 goty and the gta4 dlc disc which should be the norm for games and dlc

About $30. I regret all of it.

I bought the punisher game for psn *shudder* and that... damnit. What was it called? It was a multiplayer game with pyschic powers, whatever it was I was really good at it, but people rarely play it.

I also bought a movie, which I wish I had rented, as I have no desire to see it again.

Don't spend unless you intend to either keep the game or if its something you know you'll mess with at least 25% of the time. Punch Out + Super Mario Bros. 3 are pretty much the only DLC that I've bought. Everything else is DLC included in the Packaging.

I spent 20 on a PSN network card, but that's it

I hate DLC that costs money because you have to spend more money on your already expensive game...
