Looking through my current-gen collection, the only games that I haven't finished the story for are Half-life 2 and Unreal Tournament 3. I guess i'm just not an FPS guy.

I try my best to beat every game I have. Currently it's not looking so good. If the game is extremely fun I will usually finish it in a week or so.

I try to beat all the games I play to their conclusion but I don't 100% a game unless I REALLY love it. When the credits roll, I'm done.

I generally beat the games I get, although sometimes a game will piss me off and I'll return it.

Just Cause 2 - side mission where you steal a jet and have to blow up a base with it, except the controls for the jet are dodgy and the draw distance is tight in, so you can't do much damage before you have to pull up and swing around again...

Bullet Witch - *barf*

Clive Barker presents Clive Barker's Jericho by Clive Barker - wasn't fun, relied heavily on surround sound being precisely tuned so you knew EXACTLY where the monster out of sight was, and rampant QTEs...

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men - *blech* glitchy and it wasn't exactly interesting in the beginning

Demon's Souls - it made 10k souls (currency/xp) evaporate because I went over to my gf's to get laid, and it just wasn't fun to me...

Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal - um... I should really give that another go, start a new character straight from the beginning of SoA...

System Shock 1 - I didn't get this until right before I went to college and then got sidetracked by linux and beer and other things...

Every game I buy, rent, or stealborrow has a 98% chance of being completed. The only exception is when I have to return the game or the game is bad.

I have to be pretty turned off not to fight to the end, probably stemming from my history of sitting through pretty awful everythings. I'm more inclined to hang it up if the game mechanics itself are broken.

I usually finish every game I play, the only recent one that I can remember just giving up on and not playing it again is Braid (I don't see what everyone loved about that game, but to each their own. I just wish I had actually tried the demo first and saved $15). That's not to say I 100% everything in a game, the whole collecting hidden icons in a game is dull to me unless it gives a reward such as extra skins or whatnot.

I don't think I've ever 100% a game, but I've finished the story of 98% of the 150+ games I've played

i finish most of the current ones, but there are some oldies that i never could defeat because it was just so long (and one of them the story went to shit on the last disk)
the following are the games that elude me... mostly because my brother sold them for money cause he wanted money and he was broke... the fucker

FF7 (i defeated emerald... does that count as a victory of the game?)
Legend of Dragoon
Legend of Legaia
Suikoden 2 (FUCKING POS DISK ARGH)
Chrono trigger, which surprised me.
phantasy star 2 (does starting a game getting to the first dungeon and stopping count? if so than 3 as well)

I finish every game that I buy. I have barely any games, because I am not wizzing money and barely have any time to play, but I will always beat a game. It may take a while, but it gets done.

I even beat MW2 before I even started the multiplayer, which is pretty damn impresive seeing how the multiplayer was the majority of the reason I bought the game.

I think I finish a game more often then not, although there are some games were I just get stuck and don't have the patience to plow through it anymore.

For the most part, I try my best to at least get as far as I can before getting stuck or losing interest. But sometimes I lose interest in a game, only to come back to it months later and finally beating it. Other times I beat a game in a single day(Gears of War co-op on Insane). Although, the worst is when I get stuck on a game. DMC3, I'm looking at you.

If a game isn't enjoyable, I don't finish it.

but I have broad tastes and will usually try

Can I finish the game without breaking myself (read: having to get other versions, or do all achievements), I usually do. Otherwise, I "idle" in the non-campaign mode of the game.
