Poll: How old are you?

Really, I thought the age range of the escapist was about 16-27.
You know since that's the typical age for someone who plays video games on a regular basis.
And It doesn't surprise me that the majority is on the downside.

But I haven't seen many racist, or blatantly anti-homo sentiments from anyone. I have seen plenty of people who are overly-aggressive on subjects, or people that have problems being shown an alternative view.

I have seen an abundance of anti-religious, and anti-Obama comments. Ive also seen a few fanboys putting in their hate for a given console or attacking a popular game(halo,WOW). And on vary rare occasions Ive seen people have unexplained hate towards homosexuals.

But racism is really non-existant, except for maybe a rare joke.

I i feel sorta happy to see all the users here defending their intelligence/lack of ignorance.
It makes me feel proud to apart of the Great Escapist Nation.

Why would you assume that all teenagers are racist. Racism is based on political views and opinions passed down trough the generations. There is a higher chance that you'll join the KKK if you father is a white supremacist than if the ****** stole your bike (cookie for reference).

The vast majority of the users on this site seem to be much more mature than you give them credit for, in my experience. I barely ever see racist, sexist or homophobic posts, at least not without the good old "this user was put on probation/suspension/banned for this post."

While there are definitely immature folks on the board, the same can be said of any forum. I'd call the Escapist's users pretty much par for the course, and considering how many are in their teens, that's impressive (no offense, teenagers).
