Mine is from the Vulgar Latin for 'translator', and it seems fairly unique. Although I've met a few other people with the same name, and there are some T.V. characters with it as well.

My name is Italian, but it was butchered when my grandfather came to America. So everybody with my surname is somehow directly related to me. 100% unique

My last name is not horribly uncommon; Elliott. What is more uncommon is that particular spelling of Elliott that my family has. What's rarer still is finding someone who spells name properly the first time.

I've never seen or talked to anyone who had the name "Broadhurst." Did a facebook search and there's about 10 of me. Now if I put my middle name, I'm sure I will be the only one.

Not unique in the slightest.
Most common surname in Finland, roughly translating to "Small current". I guess a lot of people have that surname, as there's a lot of them small currents 'round our neck of the woods.

On the positive side, I have a drink named after me.
On the negative side, it's Vodka mixed with an energy drink called Battery, and tastes like urine.

My surname is Hope, I've only heard of one other person outside of my family with that surname, that person would be Bob Hope.

EDIT:// Though I imagine it would be more common over in Britain.
I know quite a few Hopes.

I live in Britain.

My paternal grandfather actually moved to Canada from Britain, so that would probably explain it. :p

My last name is Hockey, and I have met quite a few others who I am not related to, so I'd say it's somewhat common (at least where I live).

No-one else in the phonebook has the same surname as my family, neither does anyone on Facebook as far as I can tell. Beat that.

Well my last name is Radovan, and coming from Croatian heritage it means care and joy, well the rad part does anyway. Alot of people say it like Ra-Doh-ven but it's pronounced like Rad-o-van. Keep that in mind if you ever meet one of us, or you actually meet ol' Pegghead at this long discussed and dreamed about Escapist gathering.
