Lol the first part of my surname is really old school as in when we said we said who our dad was as our last name. Harrison-Baldwin is the surname by the way.
Gradations of unique go against its definition. Unique means nothing like, alone in its features.
My last name is pretty rare though, people that have it usually end up being distant relatives.
"Baer". I've never heard anybody with that surname in my area; I had to do a Facebook search. Turns out there are six other Alex Baer's all over the world.
My mother's maiden name is very rare though and very German. Why couldn't I have ended up with that? I think her immediate family are the last of that family name too
My surname is legally protected in Norway, meaning that only members of my family can use it. So pretty rare, or "very unique", I guess, seeing as it contains the character "ø", which I doubt is common or even used outside of Scandinavia.
Living in the UK, Chazot is quite unique. Not so much in France/Canada though. I alwasy get emails for th France Alex Chazot coming to my inbox by mistake XD
Back a century or two ago, a family member of mine dropped a single letter that made our very common name... Well, its still pretty much the same, but this particular version is kinda rare and the word itself is more awesome now. :3
For mine Whetstone is popular in america (according to google searches) but only a handful in Uk (some my family lol, others, distant relatives)...
Then again... im not going to say my dad's surname but i must admit, mum picked the best guy to sleep with, his name corresponds well with ours. Perfect match lol. Trouble is, id get the piss taken worse if i told anyone (Whetstone is bad enough)
I'm a Dunn
I don't think there are too many of us in the world... I've only ever heard of one guy with it and that's Kevin Dunn, a.k.a "some actor dude". I think it's Celtic, or something.
EDIT: A quick facebook search reveals that there are over 500 Dunns in the world, at least those that use facebook.
Aiava is the 88,693rd most popular last name (surname) in the United States; frequency is less than 0.001%, it doesn't even rank in the UK, where I live.
Yes... I googled... no... I do not know why I posted the US rank when I don't live there...
