Moose-eeje?

Mine's Michaloski. It's incredibly rare here in the Southern US. People struggle with it all the time.

Mine is Hewitt.

It isn't rare, but it's no Smith either.

I would love a cooler sounding name.

28 votes on 'very unique'. I wonder if the people who voted for that option can say that googling their surname brings up 992 results of which only 2 might not have anything to do with their family.

That said, it seems rather obvious why I am reluctant to give out the information. If you really insist on knowing and/or double-checking it, throw me a PM.

I won`t give my name out to people on the internet. Suffice it to say there are like 20 of us, 12 of them are my immediate family.

McNeil.
Quite common.
I hate it.

My mother's maiden name of McCarthy though, I wish I had that. It's still quite common, but is classy as all hell.
That's weird, because I have never heard of anyone with that last name(McNeil).

Joseph. Not really common, not really unique. Even my fucking surname seems to occupy middle ground.

also, about the last option, I can only think of this now:

"Never fear... Smith is here."

Crap, now I really wanna watch The Matrix again.

My last name is Astell. Not even google finds Astells that aren't relatives.
You know for sure Mary Astell who lived from 1666 to 1731 is a relative of yours?

My name means "woodcutter" in german. It stands out a lot and everyone mispronounces it. Ever single year of high school they spelled it wrong in they yearbook. If you fully translate my name, it means "Brave Weasel Woodcutter."
I can't picture that.

Mine's Schelvis, which is a family name for certain types of fish.
It's fairly rare, there's probably less than a 100 people in this country called that.

This one's been a question in my family for a while, my nan says yes, but my late grandad said otherwise and she was insane to believe so. So I really don't know.
