Poll: I am about to trade my Ford Focus 2002 for a Xbox 360 Slim....

i don't know it sounds like a fair trade one fix or repair daily for a different fix or repair daily
how ever it is pretty silly since a car is worth far more than a console

The way I look at it is that the car requires a few too many repairs than I am willing to put up with. On top of that the car has maybe been used twice in the past year and both times very short drives. If he is willing to take it off my hands and I get a slim Xbox out of the deal that sounds like a win win to me.

I am selling my Ford Focus 2002 locally for a Slim Xbox 360. Some might find this nuts but in all honesty we never use the car anymore since my Wife and I work the same hours. She has a 2009 Pontiac Vibe.

So what do you all think?

well all I can say is make sure you pick the console with the games you want.

I literally mean it. I am giving the keys to my car for a freshly store bought Xbox Slim.

That is easily the one of the most stupid idea ever thought of in the history of mankind, right along with "Hey, I wonder what happens when you jump off a cliff, I know, I'll do it and find out" and "I think I should go and make friends with the car driving towards me at high speed"

Sell the car, then buy an Xbox and a bunch of stuff with the cash.

EDIT: At seeing that the car needs severe repairs, I'd look into what you can get for it, then size up the best deal. If it's more than the Xbox, sell it, if it's somewhere along the lines of 30p and a packet of crisps, swap it.
If anything your sister's fiance will be more likely to think you're an idiot for swapping.

Well you can sell it for much more than the price of a 360, so buy the 360 with a portion of the money you make, and use the rest to buy other stuff.

No. You can get a couple thousand for that car if you bring it in to a used car dealership. You could use just a small bit of that money to buy a 360 slim. It's a nice gesture, but I would never do it.

God, I barely have enough free money for a PC game, when people do this kind of stuff.

You are seriously trading a car for a video game system? That is just stupid... My car was a '93 and it was $2,000... but trading a 2002 car for a system that will probably get the red dot of death in a month? And, honestly, unless you like Halo or Gears of War, a 360 isn't really worth it...

Sorry the car is sold. My sister is running out to their local walmart and buying the Xbox Slim right now. I will drop off the keys with them tomorrow.
