I am selling my Ford Focus 2002 locally for a Slim Xbox 360. Some might find this nuts but in all honesty we never use the car anymore since my Wife and I work the same hours. She has a 2009 Pontiac Vibe.

So what do you all think?
You do know that a 2002 Focus goes for around $11,000 (AUD)?????

Well I use USD. And my car if in excelent condition is worth less than $4000. However in an earlier post I stated it needs several repairs totalling several thousands of dollars.

Its not worth beans.

I wish I knew someone like you. I'd give you my Xbox 360 and a few games to boot for that. Then the next day I'd go purchase a Slim in the exact car you gave me. Deliciously ironic.

I don't need any games thrown in. I buy close to every new game released and currently have a 60 gb Xbox. I just want the new system due to me getting a Kinect on Nov 4

Keep the car. You never know when you need to dump a body or move 50 kilos of cocaine in short notice.

But you say it's going to your future brother in law? Meh, go for it if you want. If it was going to some stranger then I'd say sell it since you could get a brand new 360 slim and plenty of games. But since it's going to someone you know and should trust then things should be ok. Just know that a 360 slim costs around $299, or it did the last time I checked.

tell you what, i'll give you a newly bought xbox slim plus a couple of games for that car.
Sorry the car is sold. My sister is running out to their local walmart and buying the Xbox Slim right now. I will drop off the keys with them tomorrow.
Well i would say sell it give them some of the money, and buy your xbox, but you already sold it. BTW needing repairs dosen't mean it worthless. I know people who love to repair their cars themselves.

You are seriously trading a car for a video game system? That is just stupid... My car was a '93 and it was $2,000... but trading a 2002 car for a system that will probably get the red dot of death in a month? And, honestly, unless you like Halo or Gears of War, a 360 isn't really worth it...
Well considering my 60 gb Xbox I have now owned for over a year has never had the red ring of death I think your data might be a bit off. On top of that the new Xbox is designed to shut off when it overheats which means it will never red ring of death.

Dude, I will pay you $500 dollars right now for that car, no questions asked. Then you can go buy a 360 slim AND a few games.

For that price, I would've taken a plane there, paid for it, popped it into neutral and pushed it all the way back to Florida.

Honestly, I cannot reply to the complete illogicality of that comment without getting probation/suspension again... Just because YOU haven't had one, doesn't mean that no 360 will ever RRoD again...

Well just because your Wii/Ps3 hasn't crapped out on you doesn't mean it can't happen either. The red ring of death was caused by overheating issues. So the reason mine has never ran into the issue is because I provide my system proper ventilation. Every company that deals with electronics has issues. But I would be hard pressed to find one other company that openly extended its initial warranty out to 3 yrs to take care of its customers.

UPDATE:
I just got back from my Sisters. I dropped the key and automatic door opener with them and retrieved my Xbox 360 slim. I must say this system is super sexy. I am recovering my gamertag right now but my first impressions are wow. I love the different noise it makes when powering up. Also the power supply (brick) is a lot smaller, thank god.

The wireless network set up was super simple and asked to be set up as one of the first things when I powered it up. The one thing you have to love about the 360's set up is even a monkey could figure out how to get everything going.

Three things that kinda bummed me out:
1.) No HD cables...however it does work with both HDMI and old Componet cables from the earlier systems so I had both no big problem there.

2.) No Hard Drive transfer cable. For a cable I will use once it kinda sucks I have to spend $20 on it. However I am sure Gamestop will take it back for at least $10.

3.) No play and charge kit for the new controller....why not? They are super cheap. At least give me the battery I have the charge kit, lol.

Other than these three complaints it looks awesome and I love that its wireless. On top of that 250 gb rocks my world. Plus when Kinect comes out, just one cable instead of two awesome!
