Usually though I just report and move on. When I'm not sure, I don't post anything and don't report, just on the off-chance the alleged troll isn't one.

Not giving them the attention they crave is a great first step. Try it sometime.

I either report and then leave, or, if the thread warrants it, I PM a mod with a link to the thread in question.
I would loooooove to see more troll threads be locked without a single post by the community at large. It would do my heart so much good to see that.

Funnily enough, this is one of those rare sites where I seldom have to bother reporting (yay mods?) so on the rare occasion I do see trolls I typically disregard them.
