Here is the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION EVER!!!

What is your Favorite FPS Series?

Favorite meaning in terms of gameplay, setting, story, characters etc.

I don't want any "HURR DURR, CALL OF DOUTY IS BETTUR THUN HALOZ AND GEARZ OF WOAR!!" crap.

So, tell me.

(BTW, I have played Call of Duty, Halo, TF2, Borderlands and a little bit of Gears.)

(EDIT: It is now by series, not title, to allow many different choices.)

You are going to hear Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 so many times...

Gotta give it to Borderlands, myself. Great shooting mechanics AND Diablo like looting AND multiple classes with multiple skill trees AND a good sense of humor AND cel-shading? Fuck. That's basically built for me.

Half Life 2 is an awful shooter.

BLOPS is the best on that list, unfortunately. Haven't really played the Halo games.

Yea dude, to many Cods and mainstream titles in your options, I can't legitimately answer, and I am a fan of the games. My favorite would be team fortress two, maybe bioshock.

Multiplayer favorite is Team Fortress 2.

Singleplayer favorite is Crysis. The first one. Though the second one is No. 2

Gears = TPS

FPS =/= TPS

By the transitive property, Gears =/= FPS.

Sorry, this happens SO much on these forums. Like, at least a dozen times a day I'd bet. Hopefully this'll help someone catch that mistake.

OT: By the terms in the OP, Halo Reach dominates nearly all of them.

My all-times favourites are the Metroid Prime series, Bioshock, Fallout 3 (although that one's fairly cross-genre) and I was a big fan of the first Killzone back in the day. My favourite CoD was CoD2 but Modern Warfare was also great and my favourite Halo is Reach, it really is a 'best of' Halo game

I guess you need a game that holds shiny objects in front of you and keeps your attention for about 5 seconds and then you'll move onto the next soulless fps.
