Yeah, you've completely left all the ending parts out about the pieces of Eden scattered around the world and what Abstergo plans to do with them (not to mention the great miracles of the bible merely being illusions), but whatever gives you the false sense that you've come up with an intelligent and credible rebuttal. I think assassin's creed 1 did a lot of things right, it just did those things over and over and over and over.
AC2 is much better. It fixes almost all of the problems of the first one. However, if you didn't even remotely like the core gameplay of the first one then don't bother, because it doesn't really CHANGE it, it just expands and improves upon it. But if your main problem with the first one was the info gathering missions before the assassinations and the lack of variety, definitely check the second one out.

The game was good. The missions WERE repetitive and were quite a huge design flaw BUT:
- Free running looked and worked great
- The combat was pretty
- A unique setting in games
- An intriguing story (of which it has to be said, not much was revealed)
- Altair was more likable towards the end, although he wasn't given much time
Play the second one - it's stunning, and fixes every problem in the first.

Um, a lot of people didn't like it actually, not sure where you're coming from with that one. Anyway, I've heard the 2nd installment is much more varied and less repetative, however I've not played it so I can only rehash what I've heard elsewhere.y1fella said:

If you're going to complain about something, at least use proper punctuation, grammar and capital letters so that people take you seriously.
Secondly; yes, Assassin's Creed 1 was repetetive, but it was engaging and fun. If I found it getting repetetive - I would go and KILL someone, as that is fun (am I a bad person?).
Thirdy; Assassin's Creed 2 is incredible, there is little to no repetition, a vast amount of weapons in the game, a new money system so you can buy weapons, armour, houses, stores, paintings, treasure maps, etc... and the amount of new animations for kills is great. Swords will now pierce the skin of unarmed individuals rather than you hack 'n' slashing them to death and there is still a huge amount of area to explore.
