Oblivion was just pitiful. Enemy AI couldn't find their down a chimney. "Up on a rooftop "click" "click", down comes good bladed kicks."
I would have to agree whole hardaly with this, I had a kahjit(no idea if thats how thats spelled) who was specializing in bows and jumping around like crazy monkey so when ever any real fighting started i wold just jump to where the asorted bad guys couldn't get me and just pick away

not exactly the most exciting way to do battle but it got the job done

And way back playing the castlevania game with the whole card matching thing(i forget the name) on the GB advance i got a ice attack early on and managed to freez monsters in just the right spot to get extra health power ups' So alot of boss battles end up with me not even trying to dodge, just tradeing blows till thay bite the dust.

I found a place in Borderlands that enemies cannot/will not come to that has a very small hole that I can snipe out of but cannot be hit through. I also find... innovative ways to move around the map sometimes in shooters.

The title of this thread made me loose The Game.

I've come across a few glitches during play, but if they break the game too much, then I don't use them.

Come to think of it. Did that in fallout 3 with super, Super mutants.. lol

Closing a gated doorway, and arrowing the butcher to death in Diablo I. There was no other way to beat him if you just happened to open his door and he decided to chase you. xD
This was what I was gonna say. That was one of the longest boss fights in my life, playing as a Warrior. I was sketching out the whole time because I feared that I would accidentally click the 'Open Door' instead of shooting the Butcher.

That was one scary mother fucker. He dropped a great weapon though.

The final boss fight in 007 Nightfire; there was this spot where he couldn't see me, I hid there and kept blasting him in the head with the laser gun. took me about 2 minutes after 8 deaths.

I only use bugs when things are frustratingly difficult otherwise. Playing through Ravenholm in Half Life 2 on the hardest difficulty with only the gravity gun, for instance.

When I find a bug, I save my game and get all sandboxy before going back to the real thing. For instance, I figured out how to turn a Hellcat upside-down and still fly it in Jak 2, and for a while it was all I did.
AND IT WAS EPIC

I admit, in Dragon Age I probably only managed to beat the dragon guarding the Temple of Andraste because it somehow landed on a bit of unpathable terrain and lost the ability to fly or turn around.

In Dragon Age if you attack the high dragon at a low level he can be horribly difficult but I managed to move Alistair to just the right place underneath it so it couldn't attack and had the other characters just pound it with ranged while it stood there for twenty minutes.

I remember the Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance game breakers, where you could have unlimited money by selling a crappy sword enough times to buy an awesome sword, which you then sold until you had enough money to buy the pope, all thanks to what I'm assuming are time-paradox future selves coming back to give you the sword you currently have.

Personally I would rather not break the game because then that may lead to the game being unplayable and then you have to restart and it just isn't fun.

Oblivion is 100% breakable. If you save before taking the Sigil stone, you can keep reloading the game until you get a Chameleon stone. Once you get five 20% chameleon stones, you are literally 100% invisible to everyone in the game. You can attack anyone in the game and they will NEVER hit you again. I killed Jyggylag in the shivering isles without him laying a finger on me in that playthrough. I think this is what we are talking about when we say "break the game". Given the playthrough was utterly stupid and I got very little joy out of it, but seeing the game in this way was amusing to me for a little while. For those of you looking to "break a game" just do this in oblivion and you become invincible. Characters that you've spoken to 5 seconds ago won't attack you if you punch them in the face 5 seconds later. Pretty easy to abuse the mechanics in oblivion...Fantastic game though.

Also I find if you play a rogue and know how to build his skill-set in Dragon Age you can EASILY make yourself unkillable by everything except maybe a high dragon. Even then in Awakening the dragon was focusing all attention on me and I was no longer taking damage because of Dodge perks and evade gear. Not to mentino momentum makes me hit ridiculously fast.

I break every game I play. Whether it means tediously climbing over something so that I might skip an entire line of baddies or whether it means I shove myself into the tiniest nook so that nobody can get to me. More of the former though. I'm a notorious climber. Give me the ability to jump and I will find my way out of the map.

On the other hand, I'm so good at breaking the game in that manner that I often fall off the map itself. Notable problem games for this were Assassin's Creed and I managed to find a way below the map in Crackdown on my own.
another thing is on borderlands, that game has so many mods now its broken over and over again... and yes, im sure we all teamed up and did those awesome halo 3 climbing glitches? or easter eggs... either way they are awesome... also do you know any for clive barkers jerico? im playing it on hard and havign trouble just after first seing leichthammer

Diablo II, while fighting Diablo you could get him trapped in the corner and still hit him without getting hit, only way I could take him.

Oh, you lucky sods. I had to do that fight 8 times before I was finally high enough level to take it on.

I try not to, Im an expert at finding these little things but I dont do them because I feel as though the challenge has beaten me.
on my second or third playthrough though, I find as many as I can.
you want an example as well right?
in Resi4, during the first village scrap(with the first chainsaw guy,) if you stand in the top left corner of outside of the shotgun building(the place where you find the spinal) then you can easily cheap shot the enemies as the come because no more than two people can walk to you at a time, but your bullets can hit 5 or 6 at a time and grenades can kill at least 10.
and if the chainsaw gets too close or they rush you too fast then you can quickly just jump down behind you and then climb up the window ladder and viola! no more people.
lather, rinse, repeat if necassary.

I quickly find the best ways to wipe the floor with the battle AI in the Total War games. The most noteworthy example is in Empire siege battles. Just make a "noob circle" in the middle of the fort and he can throw as many troops as he wants at you and you will always win.
Yeah, my personal favorite is in Medieval 2: Total War
1. Build cannon towers wherever possible
2. Wait for cannon towered settlement to come under seige
3. Sally battle against seige army
4. Stand behind the gate so the towers shoot at the enemy that has so politely lined up just in range of your guns
5. Find something else to do for 20-30 minutes
6. ?????
7. PROFIT!
