I prefer not to, but sometimes it's good for a laugh, or if a section of a game is particularly hard then I'll use a technically legit glich; "One Shot, One Kill" anyone?

I've done it some times. The one that springs to mind was in Ocarina of Time with the Piece of Heart in the windmill. You're supposed to take it after the race for the Hookshot when you're an adult. I took it by using the Boomerang from beneath. Took a lot of tries, but it was worth it.

And did you ever get the stealth suit? I watched my roommate beat Feral Ghoul Reavers to death without taking damage because he was crouched and was "invisible"

I semi-broke Disgaea 3 by having a level 600 mage in map 4-3*, while the final boss is level 90 or something.
It wasn't completely game breaking because the post-game content is a lot harder than the final boss, but it made the last half of the game a lot easier.

*[sub]Just wait until enemies reach level 400, then 700 and then 1100 before destroying the level up geo effect and killing them.[sup](you'll need the stats from killing the 400s to actually hit the level 700s)[/sup][/sub]

My regular strategy in Mount and Blade, for seiges, involves forcing my way past or over the defenders once at the top of the ladder. I can stand about 25 feet from them on the battlements, and they'll ignore me in favor of the attacking forces. Then, I just take out my bow, aim, and get headshot after headshot after headshot (not that it's that hard to hit a seething mass of heads). FPS Doug shed a tear.

Not really. Someimes if I'm under really heavy fire, I'll run past them all.

I have some friends who are amateur game makers, so I often get in on the "beta" (or maybe closed alpha, depending on how you look at it). I am THE breaker of their games. Hell, one time I broke a game just by signing in! I take pride in finding where the game is broken.

Very nice, bet they both love/hate having you help them with that.

Bayonetta, the Kilgore exploit basically renders all combos pointless save for pppk. Equip any weapons that allow you to do the multi-kick part of pppk. Make sure your foot weapons are Kilgore as soon as the kick part of PPPK starts switch to the weapon set that has Kilgore and enjoy the massive damage that ensues.

YES! I got that, took the better criticals perk and got "The Terrible Shotgun". I also had 100 small guns and 100 sneak. With that combo, I can 1-hit a behemoth.

Hey if anyone has any videos of them breaking a game, I want to try to put together a video series called Broke The Game showing player's messing with games and doing crazy things the designers didn't know or want you to do.

If you want to get your video in and have your 15 minutes of fame send them to brokethegame (at) gmail.com with the title 'I Broke The Game'

Best to send them in a .wmv file, but other movie files can be used too. If they are too big upload them to a file share site like megaupload and send the link in the email.

Send in anything that's been mentioned here or hasn't been mentioned but you've done, doesn't matter if other people have done it before, or if it's something you came up with. Old games or new games, doesn't matter.

All videos must be recored by you, as best you can, and show you or someone "breaking" a game and playing it a way the developers didn't want it to be played. Keep the video as short as possible, though we'll handle the editing.
Please also include a description of what game you're playing, what you're doing, and what is suppose to happen normally.

I've never been able to beat Braska's Final Aeon in Final Fantasy X, until last week. LOve the game, but he would always crush me. But last week, I decided to use a game-breaker, by making sure that everyone had their overdrives at full. Then I just used Aeon overdrives (including Anima's, which can do up to 99,999 damage in one go) to kill the boss's first form, which has 60,000 HP. Then his second form has 120,000 HP. I just used Rikku's Mix overdrive to get Trio Of 9999 (giving everyone 9999 healing and damage per attack/spell/item). Lulu's Fury overdrive did 9999 damage six times, then Tidus's overdrive did another 9999 damage six times. Normal attacks twice took the rest of the boss's health down to zero.

Overall, it took about ten minutes, including the massive cutscenes beforehand. I just used the ultimate game-breaker in FF X to wipe out the final boss, and he barely had a chance to attack me whatsoever. Easiest victory against a boss since the point where you kill Evrae Altana with a single Phoenix Down (him being a zombie and all)...
