This, and it's really f*cking disgusting... Ugh...george144 said:This sounds like something you will really regret in 20 years time.
I always though angina was some sort of nasty cough because all the old people I know who have it used to administer stuff into there throat and then proclaim "sorry about that, I have angina"afaceforradio said:Actually now you mention it yes that's true - angina sufferers are given an under-the-tongue spray for heart trouble aren't they? That's worth taking into account.Erana said:The veins under your tongue go pretty much directly to the heart- get an infection there, and if it travels in the blood, you can have some nasty heart problems. I made the mistake of inquiring about an anti-tongue piercing/splitting poster in my school's clinic, just for curiosity, and got an earful...afaceforradio said:EDIT: Erana, where did you read that? I've never heard about that? How does it cause increased health risk?
We've already discussed this point, in order to give Firia the Op some breathing space I'm telling you this, splitting the tongue doesn't create speech problems.WanderFreak said:Say goodbye to s.
Or as you'll say it, "khay goodbye to yekhh."
I mean it's your tongue and all so if you want to paint it blue and call it Sally, that's your choice. But think long term. Think about how hard a time some elderly have with not drooling, then multiply that by split tongue.
I think people who have no interest in things like this usually are the ones to say "you will regret it" I have piercings, and tattoos, many of which I have had for 10 years, I don't regret them. Well except the ones that I had to let close up when I joined the military, cause that was a waste of money and I just had to get them done again when I got out.Cpt_Oblivious said:That is incredibly stupid and you'll regret it in years to come. By the same logic, I'd say don't go for it.Jumping_Over_Fences said:You only live once...

I don't say it because I have no interest in it, because if I could (bleeding disorder says no), I would.manaman said:I think people who have no interest in things like this usually are the ones to say "you will regret it" I have piercings, and tattoos, many of which I have had for 10 years, I don't regret them. That said, tattoo's I understand, piercings I understand as well, but the tongue being split. That was just starting to be the ultimate body modification fad right after I graduated high school. Never found an interest in it and thought those that did it looked pretty silly.
My sentiments exactly. But I know some people feel the same way about tattoo's, which is why i think there must be people out there who think there is nothing wrong with the splitting and will never regret it.Cpt_Oblivious said:snip
But, done right, a lot of tattos & piercings look great. Tongue spliting, however, that's just weird.
