Considering that historical accounts make him out like he was pretty decent (unlike some of his alleged followers these days), why not? He was probably a hell of a lot more intelligent than most people anyway...

I'm atheist, but yeah, if Jesus seemed like a cool guy, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. He'd probably keep his word better than half the people we have in office now.

Jesus never said gays are bad.

I vote him, I think having the son of god on your side (assuming its all true) would be pretty good

Not entirely true.

Also convince me that Santa Claus is real and that every Easter a small bunny rabbit leaves color eggs all over the place to have small children find them.

This may sound strange to you, but you'd have an easier time convincing me of those then you would convincing me that there is an old man in the sky making humans and performing miracles.

I think Jesus would be a horrible president. With him curing world hunger with fish and bread and world peace and such. We're a country that loves war! We're good at war! We've never gone a decade without a conflict! Jesus=Peace and peace is boring!

IF Jesus would have gone through extra trouble to help every damn person on Earth to prove he's Jesus.

No

1) I'm not american (so can't vote anyway)
2) I'm not christian (I think he had some good things to say but he could have improved on the way he said them)
3) separation of church and state? anyone?

No I think I would have a hard time voting for a fictional character. But aside from that when you consider my extreme dislike for religion no way in hell would I vote for somebody based on their religion. If anything if they are some nutjob religious fanatic I would be more inclined to vote for anybody but them.

Im not from the US but I answered anyways.

PS if jesus walked the earth I think I would have to shoot him to test out his whole resurrection ability.
You'd have to wait several days before confirming whether or not he does though :p

In a heartbeat.

It'd just about take Jesus's to make our crazy government function the way it was supposed to.

I'd probably have to start going to church again, but that's a small price to pay for functional politics.

Never said anything about Jesus being God or any of the sort, was merely pointing out that a man named Jesus might have well existed based on those outside sources.

Of course the gospels would exaggerate him.

No. We need to establish the separation of church and state in the US.
Trust me. It never actually got established in the first place.
Just ask yourself why EVERY SINGLE BLOODY politician ends EVERY speech with "God bless you and God bless America."

I don't have anything against a politician expressing their religious beliefs, but it is inappropriate to use it to get votes.
its politics mate their is no morality on victory
Morality?
Keep in mind that I'm an atheist.
The term "morality" carries with it a certain degree of arrogance.

I wouldn't mainly because he's Jesus, he seems just kinda manipulative, I mean he has FOLLOWERS! That and I don't really think that if someone walked up to me and said that he was the son of god vote for me I would be inclined to, I'd be more inclined to call the closest mental institutions and ask if anyone escaped.

So to recap, no I wouldn't vote for Jesus based solely on the fact that he's Jesus or he told was Jesus. You get Thor down here or the son of a Norse god and he's got my vote but only if his entire canbinet are other Norse gods. More stuff will get done and not this whole love your neighbour everyone is equal forever and ever crap.
