Question: Why the fuck would Jesus be running for president? He's a middle eastern jew. That's right, a little brown dude from that place the US likes dropping bombs on...

Dude, Son of God! He could easily figure out how to help everybody without ruining the world. He's got my vote for sure if only for the fact He'd be the first honest politician EVAR!
Such things do not exist as an honest politician. What would he say when a non believer asks him to prove something and he cant? Right there you have the "he hates _________" here. What would happen when he ostracizes the Gays and those that believe in things like abortion? Automatically, he is not pure, is not the great linker.

besides, Jesus creates miracles and is limited in his powers. he could not just simply DO everything, and make everything perfect without hurting another. Lets say he gives everyone a home who is homeless, we'd have no space left on earth and would have to build up. he saves all the endangered species, we are in competition with them to find space to live. He cures the sick and dying, thats great, but now we get a larger population boom.

Jesus is an alchemist. He never pulled something out of thin air. Water went into whine, but Jesus never just pulled a flagon out of the air. He could not make everything good without hurting something. Its just simply not within the realms of reality.
OK, we have to look at in one way. As a believer I believe he is the perfect Son of God. Fine. If you don't believe, and I'll assume you don't from your response, then taking the question on the assumption he does and therefor would still be the perfect Son of God, you'd realize you're pretty much still wrong.

Yes, he never just went "hey Rocky, watch me pull a fish and loaf of bread out of my hat!" He did manage to use his brains to outsmart people, though. He also managed to perform many miracles. In conclusion, I think you are taking my response way too seriously.

In other news, Satan runs for president and finds he is no longer the Father of Lies. I now return you to your regularly scheduled debate.

Depends on his political views. I don't vote for anyone who 'seems like a nice guy', has 'strong moral fiber' or 'is a really good speaker'. If a dude runs for president, I want to know his stance on education, welfare, healthcare, taxing, etc.

Jesus does ballet now? He's more talented than I thought. Miracles AND dancing?

Oh, you mean ballot. Well, me, since it's gotta be Christ vs. the only guy who can take him down, God.

Or the cheese string guy, because fuck yeah, cheese string guy.

I dunno about smoking Charlie Sheen, I hear that normal people's brains might have trouble coping with it.

Hmm, he might not seem as bad now, but don't forget that he is a 'Vatican Warlock'. I hear they can do some serious damage with those flaming fists of theirs.

Jesus himself was a great guy. I can't say much about some of the people who bandy him about but he was pretty cool.

I guess. It could be cool for bragging rights.

"Our president can walk on water! What can yours do? Political meet-ups and embargos? Puh-leeze, brah.

Thus making him ineligible, because he's not natural born. Or 35 for that matter.

Also, the Bible doesn't teach that gays are bad; it teaches that gay acts are bad.
Dude, are you for real? How is 'We don't hate you, we just hate everything you do!' any better than 'We hate you!'?

As to the topic, I'm not sure. I'd have to see what he's like for myself.

If Jesus actually ran for president I would vote for him, and I'm not even religious at all. Based strictly on what Jesus believed and preached (all the crazy crap in the Old Testament never came from Jesus) I think he would be a great leader and the first one who wasn't corrupt in a long time.

WOAH.
This is some old-school imperialist ethno-centrism.

People of the past were no less intelligent than people now. Sure, we have more advanced technology, but how much of it did YOU invent?
actually, studies show that people in the past were actually MORE intellegent. ever since the invention of civilization, the human brain has been getting gradually smaller. thats because civilization makes it easier for people to survive, so the weak/stupid aren't being weeded out as effectively

I'm an atheist, and I would vote for him, if he was real of course. A champion of the poor and sick, a person dedicated to peace. Of course all that religion stuff wouldn't work. Plus he would make promises he couldn't break, duh.

No. Because jesus is pure, and all politicials are crooked. So thus, either:
a) it is not jesus running
b) the fabric of reality would be torn asunder

Besides, he'd want to help EVERYONE, and you just cant do that without creating inflation, debt and ruin.
He'd have a way around it. This is Jesus we're talking about.

Again, Jesus is an Alchemist. Not a magician. or God. he is God incarnate.
